1. X has recently seen a massive resurgence in popularity after a federal judge issued a legal ruling in 2012 , that read “X and other elements………… are no longer covered by US copyright law and can therefore be freely used by others without paying any licensing fee to the writer’s estate.”

Courtesy of this new ruling, X, who people couldn’t have conceived would be there in US, has been there for quite some time.

Metaphorically speaking, Ahab and X are both destroyed by their quest. Just before they both are killed, they face death quite similarily.
