SCHOOL ITEMS NEEDED FOR OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD The American Heritage Girls, the Scouts, and the Youth are teaming up for a great cause!
This year, for Operation Christmas Child, the three groups are asking for your help. Each month we are
asking for donations of certain items to help fill the boxes. For the month of August we are asking for school
items for boys and girls of all ages. These items may include: coloring pads, coloring books, picture
books, glue stick (Do not include liquid glue.) small adhesive tape, watercolor set, finger paint
palette/crayons/markers (non-liquid containers, scissors, erasers, notebooks, paper... etc.
We will have a bin at the narthex in the CFC as well as the sanctuary. After receiving the different items
each month, we hope to have a large amount of items to be able to pack. In November, we will host a
packing night for the entire church to come, fellowship and pack the donated items. Then the Youth will go
and deliver all the boxes. Please note: we will still offer boxes for you to take home as well in fall. This is a
great opportunity for the scouting programs and the Youth to come together with our church family for a
great cause! We will keep you updated monthly on what items are needed next. Thank you for your support
and please contact Angie Leonard or Hunter Duncan with any questions.
