MISSION STATEMENT: Blessed Trinity Catholic Church Stewardship Community recognizes Jesus is Lord. We believe that
our Time, Talent and Treasure are gifts from God to be used for the spiritual, educational and social needs of
our community, the Diocese and the world at large, especially the poor.
STEWARDSHIP BY THE BOOK
In today’s Gospel, the disciples suggest that Jesus disperse the crowd so that they
might individually seek food and lodging. The miracle of the feeding of the
five thousand is Jesus’ powerful reminder that when we share our gifts in His name
there is always more than enough!

WORD OF LIFE
“Religious freedom gives us the space to carry
out the mission that Jesus has entrusted to the
Church. Religious freedom means that Catholics,
and all people of goodwill, are free to seek the
truth and to live in accordance with that truth,
and so to strengthen our common life as a
nation.”

Today, we observe the Solemnity of the of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. This beautiful feast celebrates the gift of the Eucharist, which the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches is the source and summit of our Christian faith. “For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ Himself” (CCC 1324). The very word, Eucharist, means “thanksgiving” or “gratitude,” and so this feast is especially meaningful to all of us who are striving to live as grateful stewards of all God’s blessings to us. Surely the Eucharist is the greatest of all blessings because it is not only from God, it is God — the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Today’s second reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Corinthians reminds us of the depths of love our Lord has shown us in the gift of the Eucharist, recalling Christ’s words at the very first Eucharistic celebration. “The Lord Jesus… took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, ‘This is my body that is for you.’” In that moment, and at every celebration of the Mass thereafter, Jesus gives us His very Self in an act of complete humility and perfect love. How can we possibly show our gratitude for such a sublime gift? We can receive the gift of the Eucharist with the greatest possible reverence and love. And, following our Lord’s example, we can give ourselves generously to others in the week ahead.

UGANDA MISSION TRIP 2019
Over 30 are travelling with us this Sunday, June 23,
to Uganda. Two others will join us a week later and
two more as we complete our two weeks.
Thanks to all of you who financially supported one
or more of our travelers, donated empty suitcases
and gave all kinds of materials for the schools.
Nine of our group come from Ascension Catholic
Church in Melbourne, and that includes their Pastor,
Fr. Eamon Tobin.
Pray all goes well. Pray for good health and pray for
safe journeys.
We plan to bless two new Churches. That will make
28 of the 30 under construction blessed. All new
Churches are in use, whether blessed or not, once
the walls are half built and the floors are level with
sand. When we started most all our 30 Masses in
the villages were outside.
We have 3 doctors and 3 RN’s in our group so we
will have a medical group at two local clinics.
Sr. Juliet will run a Bible camp—close to 1000 kids
everyday. A few will help with technology. Two will
help with farming. A number will help out at the
orphanage. A few will visit the schools each day and
at least two will come out with me each day
covering the 30 villages.
Book Of The Week: “I Thirst” 40 days with Mother Teresa St. Teresa of Calcutta was a woman known and loved for her tender work among the poorest of the poor. Behind her drive and desire to serve Christ’s poor was a profound understanding of the thirst of God for man, and man’s thirst for God. This guided meditation on Scripture and the teaching of Mother Teresa will lead those who read it into the heart of the mystery of God’s thirst for souls, and how man can meet the Lord’s thirst. The reader will delve intimately into Mother Teresa’s love of God, and helps foster the love of God in the heart of the reader.
Please visit the shop to see the new wall pictures we have. They are on wood and include the Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Frances’ Prayer, etc..
