Building Project Update

Welcome Packages

Our building project continues to move forward. The first design workshop with Lyman Davidson Dooley architects was held last week. While we could not meet in-person we were able to conduct the meetings virtually so that we can keep on schedule. We look forward to sharing the progress with you as we plan for the future of our parish and school.

Every year during Palm Sunday we celebrate with Palm branches blessed by our

parish priests. People weave them into crosses, chains, flowers and create deco-

rative ways to display or arrange them. Others take them home and wedge

them behind their favorite wall crucifix or photo. There are many ways to

arrange our blessed palms, but what happens once they are dry and brittle?

Some people use their creations as bookmarks or other keepsakes, but what

happens to the left-over palms no one brings home from church? Or the palms

you would like to replace?

Don’t throw blessed palms away. You can bring them back to the church for

proper handling. You are always welcome to return old palms to our church and

we will handle with care. It would be helpful to bag them up and give them to

one of our sacristans the next time you are at church.

Palms are to be burned, and the ashes then used for distribution on Ash Wednesday or returned to the ground. Never should one just “throw out” what has been dedicated to God.” “Once a religious object is blessed and dedicated for divine worship or veneration, it must be treated with reverence and not be used in either an improper or profane way” (cf. Code of Canon Law, #1171)

The Church Mouse….

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.

An Act of Spiritual Communion

Dear Trinity Families, We have just been notified by Superinten-dent Juhas that Trinity Catholic School will follow the recommendation of Governor DeSantis and continue eLearning for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic

school year. We know this creates questions among our families, and we want to answer them as quickly and openly as possible. Please bear with us as we work toward the best possible outcome for all of our Trinity students, parents, teachers, and staff members. Not all questions will be answered at this time, but please be assured we will do our best to answer them promptly.

*All parents who have paid for end-of-the-year field trips will be refunded any monies already paid to the school. Eighth Grade parents should have already received the refund checks for the Universal Trip.

*Eighth Grade students will attend online classes through Tuesday, May 19th. We are planning several exciting events to

celebrate our awesome graduates during the summer. More details to follow…

*All other students, including PreK3, VPK, and Kindergarteners, will attend online classes through Thursday, May 28th. More information will follow regarding the agenda for the last day of school, May 29th.

Please join us in praying for a quick resolution to the Covid-19 crisis. We miss our Trinity Knights.
