Shekhar MehtaShekhar MehtaShekhar Mehta
President, Rotary International
2021-22
Shekhar Mehta urges membership
development to be Rotary’s high-
est priority. He believes that
focusing on regional plans, suc-
cessfully transitioning Rotaractors
into Rotary clubs, and increasing
diversity and female members
could yield a five percent (5%)
net growth in membership each
year. “Major brainstorming is
needed to find effective solutions
suited to different areas of the
world,” says Mehta.

Since joining Rotary in 2013,
LaShonda has traveled extensively
speaking about Public Image and
Membership. Within the Rotary
world, her passion is using Public
Image to increase giving and
engage members.

Dr. Jenkins is dedicated to bring-
ing diverse people together to
increase individual and organiza-
tional productivity and perfor-
mance. He serves as a trainer,
consultant, motivational speaker,
life coach and conversationalist.
Todd is a certified Leadership
Management International Facili-
tator with more than ten years of
training and development, leader-
ship development, and diversity
and inclusion work experience.
ROTARACTOR ENGAGEMENT
Holger Knaack, RI President 2020-21, stresses the
importance of involving Rotaractors in our Zone
events.
Director Howe is taking this one step further by
including Rotaractors in the education curriculum
— not in a separate track, but side-by-side with
our Rotarians. In fact, Rotaractors will lead an
education session on Saturday morning.
ROTARY’S ON FIRE!
I am Suzi Howe, Convener
of the 2020 Zones 25B and 29
Institute, in Houston, TX. It is
my and Bill’s pleasure to invite
you – our past, current and
future leaders of Rotary Interna-
tional, The Rotary Foundation
and Rotaract – to this event. It
will be held at the Royal Sonesta
Hotel from September 8-13, 2020.
At Zone Institute, you will find fellowship, inspirational
speakers, invaluable educational opportunities, and fun!
Fellowship – Four hundred Rotarians from 23 districts, and
an additional 500 local Houstonian Rotarians will join us at
the all-club luncheon. Be there! It’s your opportunity to net-
work, find project partners and make friends.
Inspirational Speakers – Hear what’s new in RI from Shekhar
Mehta, RI President 2021-22. Experience LaShonda Delivuk’s
passion and learn how to use Public Image to engage members
and increase giving. Todd Jenkins will inspire us to bring
together diverse people and increase Rotary’s productivity.
Education – Separate educational tracks for your District-
Governor-Line, Leadership Development, District Chairs
and District Trainers will highlight RI’s Strategic Plan.
Rotaractors, we heard you! You will be educated alongside
other Rotarians, not in your own siloed education track.
Fun – Folklorico dancers, a mariachi band, a Western-themed
party with ropers included, and trips to the Space Center, Car
Museum and the Galleria all await you!
Experience Southern Hospitality at its best.
Join Bill and me for a blazing Rotary Zone Institute!
Yours in Rotary,
Suzi and Bill Howe
