YOUNG CARERS
We had a special visitor in school today
As part of our commitment to supporting Young Carers, we
invited Ann-Marie Leather, the Young Carers School Liaison
Worker from St Helens Young Carers, into school to deliver both
the infant and junior assemblies, to raise awareness about
Young Carers.
Ann-Marie told the children all about what it is like to be a
Young Carer and how to get help and support. All the children
and the staff thoroughly enjoyed her assembly, especially the
moving Video clip.
Reminder – At school, Mrs Knapper is our Young Carers Lead
and Ms Stafford is our governor lead. We are responsible for ensuring that all Young Carers are able to enjoy
school and make good progress.
As a school we have also signed up to the Young Carers Promise and it is displayed in the Young Carers notice
board. Many thanks to Ann-Marie
