Between�the�city�centre�and�Hoole�Lane�the Black Route follows�the�Scarlet�Route,�thisleads�to�Hoole�and�Vicars�Cross.�Both�routes�run�along�part�of�the�Brown�Route,�whichfollows�the�canal�towpath.�Cyclists�can�take�advantage�of�this�off-road�path�to�cycle�out�tothe�villages�of�Christleton�and�Waverton�in�one�direction�or�to�Ellesmere�Port�in�the�other.As�the�route�approaches�the�city�centre�it�joins�the�Blue�Route,�which�loops�around�thecity�linking�up�with�7�other�routes.�Chester�Railway�Station�is�accessed�via�Egerton�Street.
