Sometimes a well established group needs outside help to organise its collective thinking! Borders

Pet Rescue had been around for a long time, with a very dedicated core of staff and volunteers. But

we recognised that to survive and thrive in today's fast-moving world and to compete with the big

spend of the national charities, we needed professional help - and fast. Bright Light Marketing came

highly recommended and did not disappoint. They were happy to work with our diverse team,

coaxing out our values, moulding our branding, encouraging us to learn and love social media!

They have not changed who we are. But rather have discovered who we are and helped us to

present that to a much bigger audience. Probably the best investment we have ever made in

our organisation - and we enjoyed it. Thank you.

Jane Vickers, Development Co-ordinator

Given the task of designing a new corporate brochure, case studies and sales literature, I contacted

several design companies...Bright Light Marketing stood out from the crowd with their clear desire

to get inside my head and fully understand what Sykes Handling & Fulfilment is and how we

wanted to be perceived.

As a somewhat perfectionist, I have been greatly impressed by Bright Light’s ability to grasp our

specific needs and their patience and flexibility with our numerous changes which they efficiently

handled and translated into a brilliantly designed end-product.

They are great professionals who really listened to what we were seeking, are genuinely nice people

to work with and made what started out as a daunting project into a pleasurable experience!

Thank you for doing such a fantastic job!

some top tips on

how to save ener

t just during the

winter but all yea

Turn it off: Try to

be aware of unnec

on and appliance

s left plugged in o

r on standby.

Careful in the kit

chen:

• Set your washing

machine to wash at

30°C.

• Using a bowl to w

ash up rather than

leaving the hot ta

p running.

• Don’t fill your kett

le right up every t

ime – just boil the am

ount of water you

need.

Draught exclude

rs: Why not buy some proper

draught proofing

products for

doors and window

s and fit a chimney drau

ght excluder or se

aled fire guards.

New heating con

trols: Use your co

ntrols to set your

heating and hot w

ater to come on and

off

when you need th

em, heat just the are

as of your home you wa

nt and decide how

warm you want

each area to be. Y

ou can make savi

ngs by using you

r controls more effec

tively, eg by turnin

g

down your room thermostat by

just 1 degree.

Loft insulation: W

e recommend having at lea

st

100mm of loft insulation,

so it might be worth

checking whether

you could make your

home

warmer by topping up l

evels of loft insul

ation.

Lighten your loa

ged all your light

bulbs for low-ene

he halogen spots

?

You can now get

LED spotlights th

enough to replace

halogens, as we

We would like to pa
