Upon the initiative of the BBC National Executive Committee, BBC focused its endeavors as an advocate for social reform and social justice as guideposts to the challenges of inclusive growth.
Through its working Clusters and Committees, it continues to adopt a program of advocacy, information and formation in the following fields:
1.Corruption2.Environment (i.e. Mining, Logging, Climate Change)3.Urban Poverty (Housing Urban Land Reform)4.Rural Poverty (Agrarian Reform, Fisheries, Ancestral Domain)5.Social Reform and Justice.

A. Committee on Social Justice and Agrarian Reform
Focus on Rural Poverty, Electoral Reforms and Agrarian Reforms

Agrarian Reform
• Meetings with Sulong CARPER groups.
• Asked for the revamp of DAR to make the CARPER more effective.
• Facilitated the signing of a Statement signed by more than 80 Bishops on January 2013 – submitted to President Aquino.

Continued support for the following advocacies / sectors and organizations:
• Farmers from Task Force Mapalad who camped in DAR and in Caritas Manila
• Marchers from Aurora on the APECO issue
• PALEA in the plight of the members. Dialogue of PALEA leadership with the new management of PAL
• Digitel Employees Union (DEU)
• Various anti-mining advocacies especially the Tampakan case

Continued support for the following advocacies / sectors and organizations:
• Call for the proper implementation of the Automated Election System (AES) Law before and after the May elections
• Task Force 2013 in promoting Voters’ Education
• Coordination with NAMFREL and ENTE during the May 2013 elections.

• Brings out our voice on the jobless growth of the Philippine economy.
• Works with advocates of the Freedom of Information Bill

D. BBC Chapter Formation
Establishment of BBC Chapters in interested dioceses.
It aims to:
•Extend management and marketing support to socio-economic projects of the diocese
•Function as circles of discernment and taking communal action on local issues of morality and social justice
•Promote spiritual development of its lay members – businessmen and professionals.
