Designed to bring people together and showcase UK creativity, the Festival programme will include live events, digital activity, and participation and learning opportunities aimed at reaching millions of people globally. The 10 Festival commission teams feature exciting new collaborations between creatives drawn from across science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) and from throughout the UK. Following a unique, funded R&D programme, they are now turning their extraordinary ideas into reality. Led by Chief Creative Officer, Martin Green CBE, Festival 2022 Ltd, was established in Birmingham to curate, manage and promote the Festival, working with strategic delivery bodies for each of the Four Nations to devise and deliver the programme. As well as unforgettable experiences, the Festival places creativity at the centre of our lives and shared futures. It comes as sectors have been impacted by the global pandemic and is already creating new opportunities for freelancers, emerging talent and under-represented voices, with more to come as each commission is developed. Through this process you will work with creative minds from across STEAM sectors to deliver an open, original, and optimistic Festival for 2022. As a highly organised and motivated individual you will take responsibility for the operational planning and delivery of assigned project activity; including scoping the overall process and supporting prospective commissions to work them up into deliverable plans. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with creative organisations and practitioners; as well as with a team of producers across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The post- holder will be skilled at building relationships, with speed and credibility, with people at all levels. This role will be suited to someone with at least five years’ experience of working in a cultural/STEAM organisation or festival context, with a good understanding of large-scale cultural events production. You must have exceptional project management skills, great relationship management skills strong budgeting experience, and an understanding of commissioning. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Support the development and operational delivery of the Creative Programme for Festival 2022; supporting the programme team to bring together organisations and individuals from across Festival sectors (arts, culture, design, science, engineering, maths, heritage and technology) in the form of ten major commissions

Undertake assigned project activity, taking supporting the financial, logistical and operational management of the research and development process

Work as part of the creative programming team to deliver diverse prospective projects, programme strands and ideas across multiple artforms

Work across the four nations of the UK on the development and delivery of activity

Develop, monitor and report on progress against milestones and project timelines

Review project plans and monitor budgets

Champion representation, accessibility and inclusion across the Producing Process

Working as part of the wider team, shape the overall vision and direction of Festival 2022 as a nationwide celebration of creativity and innovation that will reach millions.
