BODYThe bird’s body is aerodynamic.

They have 6 parts: wing, neck, keel,

legs, beak and spinal column.

They’ve got warm blood.

Bird’s body is covered with feathers.

Their bones are hollow, this makes

easier fly.

They have no got teeth, they’ve got a

horny mandible.

FUNCTIONSRespiration. They use lungs to breath.

These are connected to air sacs which

enable them to breath and to fly.

Reproduction. They’re oviparous.

Fertilisation takes place internally.

Nutrition. The shape of bird’s beak

depends on the food it eats.

Interaction. Birds are homeothermal

(body thermal that is independent of

the temperature of its surroundings.

-Some species of parrots, like

"kakapo" from New Zealand, they

have lost the quality of flying.

-The African ostrich is the biggest

bird, his weight is 125kg.

CURIOSITIES
