    Employment Confirmation Letter (Terms and benefits)

    Bird Construction Company is pleased to offer you the position as stipulated

    in your Appointment letter by our organization. We are excited about the

    potential that you bring to our Company.

    Job Location: 16815 117 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 3V6, Canada

    Approval Year: 2014

    Starting Date: Flexible

    You are to report according to the said date in your appointment letter

    9:30AM at the Human Resources Department at the Company premises,

    where you will be provided with package containing information on Bird

    Construction Company. Your job commences immediately after the

    orientation for new executives.

    Should you accept this job offer, per Company policy you'll be eligible to

    receive the following:

    Salary: Monthly Net starting salary of $12,600.00 (Twelve Thousand Six

    Hundred Canadian Dollars) paid in weekly installments by your choice of

    check or direct deposit (This salary is take home after TAX

    deduction).Salary increases will be negotiated to take effect at the

    beginning of each renewal period.

    * Performance Bonuses: Up to three percent of your monthly net salary, paid

    quarterly by your choice of check or direct deposit

    Duties and Responsibilities: Your job profile remains the same as stated

    on your Resume/Questionnaire which we have used as a basis of selecting

    you to work for us. The full breakdown of your job duties and

    responsibilities will be made known to you on resumption of duty. The

    management will be conducting a seminar for all foreign/international

    employees joining our services to enlighten them more about our Company,

    their job profile, and to enable every employee get to know each other.

    Work Schedule: Bird Construction Company, policies on standard hours,

    overtime and compensatory time apply to this position; the standard hours

    of work for the employee are 40 hours per week. The employee will be

  • compensated for work time that exceeds standard hours at a rate of 1.5

    times their regular hourly rate provided that overtime work is approved in

    advance by employer, salary and contract period shall also be liable to

    increments with time and employee official promotions and position in

    service.

    Contract Duration: 5 Years (Renewable)

    Benefits: Standard, Bird Construction Company, provide benefits for

    salaried-exempt employees, including

    the following:

    o Vacation and personal days: Bird Construction Company have 30 working

    days annual leave, which is additional to public/religious holidays and sick

    leaves and can be taken at any time during the year (subject to approval).

    During any of your vacations, Bird Construction Company shall pay for your

    flight ticket $5,808CAD Dollars as leave allowance and as well pay you

    $4,721CAD Dollars flat rate travel/entertainment allowance.

    o Accommodation (Four-Bed-Room Apartment for married staffs relocating

    with their family and One-Bed-Room Apartment for single staffs, this

    accommodation is free)

    o One official car and car allowance

    o Free meal according to your choice dietary

    o Payment of your initial Six (6) months upfront salary upon completion of

    the employment Process;

    o Comprehensive healthcare delivery

    Joining us Residence Permit / Visa: Applicants are required to secure

    their active Immigration Clearance Certificate (ICC) from the office of the

    Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). On no account should the employee

    request the employer to process his/her work permit without the provision

    of (ICC) which will automatically disqualify the job applicant. Currently, the

    Canadian Government has implemented a new law for recruitment as they

    discovered that Terrorist and those with bad records migrate into Canada

    through employment exercise as the easiest means to bypass the

    immigration stress and carry out their activities here in the country by

    submitting fake CV compelling employers to process their travel papers. In

    other to confirm the eligibility of employee proving that they have no

    criminal record, not into terrorist act or drug peddling and addiction, the

    Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) refers to the employee's to obtain

    Immigration Clearance Certificate for records before approving applicant,

  • only then can we the employer pay and procure for the entire processing of

    applicants travel papers as well reimburse the expenditure incurred for the

    obtainment of Immigration Clearance Certificate (ICC).

    2. Flight Ticket: Your flight ticket will be send to the concern Canadian

    Embassy in charge of visa endorsement of appointee and traveling documents

    after approved by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), order by the

    management of Bird Construction Company to avoid delay; also family flight

    ticket will be issue as well, if we are aware that you are relocating with the

    members of your family.

    3. Accommodation: Bird Construction Company will provide accommodation

    to all foreign nationals at the Government reserved area; both singles and

    family accommodation are available depending on your family status.

    4. Reimbursement: You shall be provided with our Reimbursement

    Application Form where you are expected to fill out all expenses incurred by

    you while completing the processing of your work permit papers and every

    other expenses you absorbed in the course of joining us. While submitting

    the form back, you are to attach receipt of these expenses you mentioned in

    the reimbursement form as valid proof that such expenses were actually

    made by you.

    5. Upfront Salary: Payment of your initial six (6) months upfront salary

    upon completion of the procurement of your Residence and Work Permit /

    Visa. The first six months upfront salaries shall be paid in advance before

    employees embark on journey to assume duty. This is to enable employees

    settle all domestic needs before traveling. As such, no excuses will be

    entertained on assumption of duty relating to default.

    Termination of Agreement

    * Termination on Resignation: The employee may terminate this agreement

    by giving the employer six months prior written notice of resignation. *

    Termination on Retirement: This agreement shall be terminated by the

    employees voluntary retirement, that retirement shall be effective on the

    last day of any fiscal year, provided that the effective date of retirement

    occurs after the employees 60th birthday, and that the employee gives the

    employer six months prior written notice.

    * Termination on Disability: If during the period of employment, the

    employee becomes unable due to mental or physical illness or injury to

    perform his/ her duties under this agreement in his / her normal and regular

    manner, this agreement shall be then.

    *Termination upon Death: If the employee dies during the period of

    employment, this agreement shall then be terminated.

    CG Public/Work Safety Law 2003

    All Canadian Employers employing expatriates has been tasked by the (

    CPWS) to make sure that all prospective employees pass through the Canada

    Border Services Agency (CBSA), to secure the (ICC) according to the CG

    Public/work safety (CGPWS) Law 2003. This Law was established to provide

  • machinery for eradication of terrorism/applicants with criminal record as

    well as drug peddling and addiction from migrating into Canada without the

    so called (ICC). Also, this is in relation and to assist in the resolution of

    employment disputes, and for incidental and connected purposes. The

    (Canadian Embassy) will not approve the processing of your traveling

    documents if you fail to obtain the (ICC) from the office of the Canada

    Border Services Agency (CBSA) to approve and confirm you eligible to carry

    (ICC) Certificate

    NOTE: Any fee payable to (Canada Border Services Agency) for the

    completion of your (ICC) is solely your responsibility as this is employee

    responsibility and we are not concerned with it. However, this fee will be

    reimbursed back to you by management on completion of the procurement of

    your Canadian Work and Residence Permit/Visa; Your (ICC) should be

    completed on or before one week of confirmation of your contract

    offer for speedy processing of your Canadian Work and Residence

    Permit/Visa.

    Upon receipt of the above mentioned documents from your side, Bird

    Construction Company will procure your Residence Permit and courier your

    appointment letter hard copies and other relevant documents to your place

    of Residence. You shall be endorse with five (5) years Canadian working Visa
