1. INTERSPECIFIC RELATIONS
1.1 MUTUALISM
- Two or more individuals are benefit.
- Example: oxpeckers lives on the zebras sustaining itself by eating all of the bugs and parasites on the animal.
1.2 COMMENSALISM
- Two living organisms are involved: one is benefit, but the other is not affected.
- Example: the decorator crabs use the sea sponges to camouflage themselves. It provides protection to the decorator crab without harming the sea sponges.
1.3 INQUILINISM
- Two individuals involved:
- Example: some insects live in the homes of gophers and feed on fungi, roots…
1.4 PARASITISM
- Organisms of different species where one of them (the parasite) benefits at the expense of the other.
- Example: the mosquito feeds on the human’s blood.
1.5 DEPREDATION
- One individual (a predator) kills and eats another living being (the prey)
- Example: cheetahs eat gazelles.

- Groups of individuals: they are all benefit.
- Example: migrating birds.

- Related individuals: they are all benefit.
- Example: coral

- Groups of individuals that live and work together, they are all benefit.
- Example: ants.
2.4 FAMILIAL
- Groups of related individuals which live together to procreate and protect the young
- Example: family of lemurs.
