Given the disruptions of the global pandemic, finding new ways to highlight the Prix Galien’s mission and accomplishments is both relevant and timely.

It is also necessary to preserve the significant influence we have achieved, exemplified by the ethics and independence of your Committee in selecting the many new technology breakthroughs we celebrate each year.

This is why we propose additions to the October 29 programming to generate more public awareness of the Prix Galien in sup-porting medicines innovation and to foster better engagement between our award nominees and the larger patient, regulatory, and health care communities.

l A press release announcing the “Galien Week of Innovation” during the entire week of Octo-ber 26, centered on the October 29 Galien Forum and Prix Galien Awards Ceremony, based on the theme “Promise for Patients is our Prize: Join the Galien Foundation for a Week of Discovery and Celebration of the Frontiers of Biomedical Innovation.”
