A Beginners Introduction to the Biospirals Method of Qigong –

Please note - this is NOT a fitness class!

This gentle foundation course will help you to re-connect the body, mind and breath, which, with regular practice can have powerful physical and emotional health benefits.

This 8-week course aims to cover the following aspects of beginners Qigong:

- Gentle step-by-step, simple to learn movements to help begin strengthen, release and harmonise the body, mind and breath.

- Simple, uncomplicated breathing techniques. - Mindfulness techniques – learn the first steps in creating internal awareness of

your external experience. - Biospirals Sonic Qigong – discover the calming simplicity of sound healing. - Biospirals Static Qigong methods – explore the powerful benefits of static qigong.

Each week will cover theory and gentle movement.

Whilst the classes are one hour long, I do not intend for them to be physically challenging. Movements can be carried out from a seated position if standing for long

periods of time is not possible for you.

You can rest and watch as often as you feel you need to.

If you have any concerns about your health, please consult your GP and show them this brochure before signing up for the course.

The wonderful health benefits that can gained from Qigong requires regular practice. I will show you how to practice little-by-little, in bite size chunks to help keep the

motivation going and avoid the feelings of overwhelm when trying to learn too much too soon. It’s all about learning to make a commitment to yourself for yourself.

I will provide instructional videos and class recordings to help with your regular practice. These are included in the price of the 8-week course. Students are not permitted to record the classes from their own device.

At the end of the 8-weeks, should you wish to continue your Biospirals Qigong journey, you will be able to begin learning the Biospirals First Sequence and Biospirals Ba Duan

Jin, which are also run as a set course.

Should you wish to, there will also be the opportunity to regularly attend further classes and workshops to deepen your practice and help guide and support your Biospirals

Qigong journey.

Biospirals Qigong uses gentle, repetitive, spiraling movements to ease tension and bring the mind, body and spirit to a place of relaxation and harmony.

The Method can deeply benefit the body and mind by coordinating breathing and movement to stimulate the major organs, increase the circulation of blood and release tension held in the spine, joints, muscles, and the soft connective fascial tissues of the

whole body.

Regular practice of the Biospirals Method can ease the symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. It can improve balance, posture, coordination and vitality.

The Method is open to all abilities – movements can be carried out in a seated position if necessary.
