Even though the Bioscreen machines are fast and easy to use, it remains helpful to have posted
instructions nearby the machine for user viewing. These posters are most helpful early on in a
Timeware implementation and beyond. New employees can always benefit from these
instructions especially when it comes to learning how to respond to certain prompts and how
to best utilize the machine in exceptional situations.

Timeware Bioscreen - Attendance Basics Screen
The attendance screen shown above consists of 4 main parts:
1. The keypad where the user enters his/her badge number. The Badge number is used to
identify the user to the system. Entering a badge number is needed in the following
situations:
If the system is configured to operate where the user must enter a Employee ID in
addition to scanning a fingerprint (dual security).
If the user scans the fingerprint but the system fails to identify. In this case
entering the Employee ID assure the user identification. If the user is using a
machine for the first time. This is necessary since it allows the machine to
download & update the user biometric profile.
2. The Job list where the user must select the job he/she is working on. The system will
always select the user default position, however, should the user be working another job
then he/she must make the proper job selection. Now, if the user is working on a
supplemental job then he/she must press the Supplemental... to force the list to display
corresponding jobs for his/her selection.
3. The attendance transaction details including the user accumulated hours of the week.
4. The control buttons that allow the user to choose from the following: Sign In, Sign Out,
Cancel to cancel the sign in/out operation and Accept to save attendance transaction and
complete the process.

Timeware Bioscreen - Attendance Advanced Screen
The attendance screen shown above consists of 4 main parts:
1. The keypad where the user enters his/her badge number. The Badge number is used to

Schedule Complete where leave time can be taken from prior days missed schedule, Shift
Complete where the user may auto complete a missed shift, Extra Duty button where the
user may choose an extra duty above an beyond work time, Cancel to cancel the sign
in/out operation and Accept to save attendance transactionand complete the process.

Timeware Bioscreen - Early Overtime Prompt
Should the user try to sign in too early, he/she may be prompted to validate that prior overtime
or extra time has been approved. If prior approval for extra time has been given, then the user
may press the "Yes Approved" button. Or, if the user intends to begin work at his/her official
starting time but wishes to sign in then the user must press the Not Approved button.

Timeware Bioscreen - Early Sign-In Supplemental Selection Prompt
Should the user try to sign in too early, he/she may be prompted to select a reason by choosing
a supplemental job. If prior approval for extra time has been given, then the user select the
appropriate supplemental job then press the "Use Selected" button. if the user is strating early
but working his/her regular job then he/she should simply press the "Use None" button.
Pressing the "cancel" button simply cancels the sign in and returns control to the sign in screen.

Timeware Bioscreen - Late Sign-In Leave Selection Prompt
Should the user sign in late, he/she may be prompted to select a reason by choosing a leave
to cover late time. In such case the user should select the appropriate leave then press the
"Use Selected" button. If the user intends to work late to cover for tardy time, then he/she
should simply press the "Use None" button. Pressing the "cancel" button simply cancels the
sign in and returns control to the sign in screen.

Timeware Bioscreen - Shift Complete Screen
If today the user has missed sign in/out to earlier shifts, and if the user presses the Shift
Complete button presented on the attendance screen, then the user may ask the system to
auto complete the missed punches as follows: Leave the job selection as is and the Save
check box checked then press the Save button. This should occur if the user worked the missed
shift but was not able to use the Bioscreen, or
Press the job drop down to choose a leave if the user was absent.
Upon completing his/her selections, the user must press the save button to save his/her
selections. Please Note: the selections made here will not take effect unless the user
completes the sign in by pressing the attendance screen Accept button.

Timeware Bioscreen - Schedule Complete Screen
If on prior todays the user has missed sign in/out to scheduled shifts, and if the user presses
the Schedule Complete button presented on the attendance screen, then the user may ask the
system to auto complete the missed schedule as follows: Press the job drop down to choose
a leave for every missed schedule
Upon completing his/her selections, the user must press the save button to save his/her
selections.
Please Note: the selections made here will not take effect unless the user completes the sign
in by pressing the attendance screen Accept button

Timeware Bioscreen - Manual Shift Addition
If the user missed signing in and out for a shift, or performed an additional duty without clocking
in and out of the clock, they can add the shift later manually. By entering the 'Supplemental
Request' module and logging in, the user is able to enter the shift as shown in the screenshot
above. They are able to choose a combination of partial hours by filling the hours and hours
(fraction) section.

Timeware Bioscreen - Leave Request
If a user would like to request a leave in advance, they may do so by entering the Leave
Request module. They first choose the type of leave request selected, and then choose the
date they would like the leave to start. Then, the user can choose to either use Hours, Days,
or individual shifts as their units. A vacation starting on a certain date will automatically choose
successive business days for vacations of multiple days.

Timeware Bioscreen - Viewing Bulletins
If the user has been sent a bulletin through the primetime system, they can view it in the Bulletin
window as shown above. They are able to access this window either through a pop up box that
appears in the attendance module when signing in, or through the Bulletin module itself. Once
the user is on the screen shown above, they are able to acknowledge the message by clicking
on the 'Ack' button. This assures that the manager that sent the message will be aware it
successfully reached its target.

Timeware Bioscreen - Partial Day Absence
If a user would like to sign out for a part of a day, they are able to do so through the Partial Day
Absence module. The user would Sign-In to a Partial Day Absence as shown in the picture
above. Upon returning to work, they would then Sign Out from the absence in the same manner.
It is important to note that these sign-in and outs must be down through the Partial Day Absence
module itself.

Timeware Bioscreen – Wakeup Machine
The Bioscreen machine may go into a “Sleep Mode” if not used for a long time. In order to wake-up the machine,
please take the following steps:
1. Touch the wake-up button shown in the first image below
2. With your finger, swipe the screen upward. Upon doing so the machine will wake up and display its
application screen as shown in the 3rd image below.
Sleep screen. By Touching the “Wakeup button” the
machine will display the screen shown next.
Use your finger to swipe this screen up. In doing so
the machine will fully wake up and display the
machine application screen.

Timeware Bioscreen – Shutdown/Restart Machine
The Bioscreen machine can be shut down if needed. In order to shut down the machine,
please take the following steps:
1. Refer to the image shown below.
2. Locate the half circle indentation located at the bottom right corner of the
machine.
3. With your finger feel the small hole where the reset button is.
4. Use an opened paper clip and navigate the paper pin head into the hole
5. Press the small button inside the hole with the paper clip for about 10 seconds
until a colorful screen appears with a message “swipe down for shutdown”. Please
note that here you may ignore the message and just keep the paper pin pressed
until the machine shuts down.
6. With your finger, swipe the screen downward for the machine to shut down.

If the Bioscreen machine is off or shut down for any reason. It can be restarted using the
following steps:
1. Refer to the image shown above.
2. Locate the half circle indentation located at the bottom right corner of the
machine.
3. With your finger feel the small hole where the reset button is.
4. Use an opened paper clip and navigate the paper pin head into the hole
5. Press the small button inside the hole with the paper clip once. Now the machine
should be rebooting.
