Coniferous Forest
• Also known as "taiga" - "swamp forest" - due to complete thawing of snow which creates a wet summer environment
• Largest biome• South of the Tundra• Cold• 35 - 100cm of precipitation a year
• Vegetation includes: • firs, spruce, pines (and other cone-bearing trees)
• Animals include: • moose • beaver • grouse • cross-bills

• Vegetation includes: Oaks, Maples, and other deciduous trees which lose their leaves in the fall.
