Objective of the workshop The workshop will deliver a series of invited lectures from the leading scientists in Europe and India on the topic of valorization of biomass, refining and characterisation of cellulose, nanocellulose, lignin, hemicellulose and other high value components from plants, trees, bioresidues, processing technologies for material development, emerging applications, scale up and commercialization potential. The workshop will focus on the following topics

1. Biomass valorization 2. Biobased composites, nanostructures and functional materials 3. Biobased drugs and biomedical devices and products 4. Scale up and industry perspectives

60 invited participants from India and abroad will attend and share scientific expertise and build networks at the event. 6 Plenary talks and 14 invited talks are confirmed.

Young Researchers Forum Junior research forum will be dedicated presentations from PhD students.

Posters We have invited junior researchers to submit abstracts for consideration for poster presentations . About 20 posters are accepted for presentations and the best 3 student posters will be selected for prizes. The prizes are sponsored by Central Coir Research Institute (Coir Board) Alappuzha and Elixir Technologies, Bangalore, India

Exhibitions We have invited Indian industries and SMEs to display new materials and products from locally available natural resources. 3 exhibitions will be held at the event
