Invest, Build and Hold

A trusted partner in private equity A trusted partner in private equity investinginvesting

Overview Objective: With an “invest, build and hold” strategy, PS Capital Partners seeks investments in

manufacturing and processing businesses in the Upper Midwest with revenues of $10 to $50 million.

Concept: After over a decade as partners, Paul Stewart and Paul Sweeney formed PS Capital in 2001 with the belief that this segment of the market was generally underserved by private equity investors who instead were focusing on larger acquisitions of quickly scalable businesses. The concept was that this market segment could benefit greatly from a longer-term approach to private equity investing.

Strength: The critical combination of access to patient capital through their loyal investor network and a long-term outlook, allows PS Capital Partners to invest in and help build middle market businesses without the pressure of a predetermined timeframe for exiting. Also, Mr. Stewart and Mr. Sweeney strongly believe in aligning their interest with management through performance-based compensation and equity. Win, win, win is at the heart of the firm's investment philosophy where the investors, management teams and sellers accomplish their objectives.

Experience: Both Mr. Sweeney and Mr. Stewart are seasoned private equity investment professionals who possess over forty years combined experience. They have been partners in private equity investing since 1990, and possess diversified backgrounds and experiences that enable them to actively source, quickly assess, reach mutually acceptable terms and close investments.
