Biogas is CO2-neutral. The combustion of biogas in the CO2 released is the amount that was added to the plants

during their growth. Renewable Biomass absorbs CO2 emitted in turn. Slurry containing the extreme greenhouse

gas methane. Since the methane is used in the biogas plant to generate electricity and heat production, it can

not escape into the atmosphere, for example if fermented manure is spread on the field.
