Earlier this semester Jose Diaz was about to quit college, but one of his professors recognized that he might be having difficulty in his classes and from then on, things started to turn around. His professor put forth Jose’s name for the new Student Success Coach program and Jose was linked with Harry Rolle, one of the new coaches on campus.“At the time I was already about to give up and then Harry emailed me,” said Jose, a Teacher Education Transfer major. “He asked me to stop by his office and asked if there was anything he could do to help.” In addition to helping Jose block out times to study and manage his classes and assignments, Harry pointed Jose toward a critical support program for him, ADA Transition Services (Disabilities Services Office).
