1. PLANTATION 10.06.2018

Plantation has been done at the College campus by NSS unit 1 & 2 18 volunteers participated.

Plantation comes under the Regular Activities of NSS. Every year in the months of Sawan or in the beginning of

Rainy Season, sepalings are provided by the Forest Department for plantations. This year too this practice has

successfully been executed by both the NSS Units of the college. Along with the NSS cadets several teachers

were also extended thair support by planting saplings in the college campus. Dr. Manju Madhuri Bajpai, NSS

Officer, Dr. Mukta Dubey, Dr. Aradhana Sharma and Dr. H. R. Augur.

WORLD YOGA DAY

The International Yoga Day has been celebrated at the College Campus. The Volunteers of the NSS Unit 1 & 2,

NCC Cadets, Students & Staff of the College participated. Yoga Trainer was Dr.B.K. Soni.

On 21st June, International Yoga Day is celebrated every year. This year too Yoga Day has been celebrated in

the college campus. Two days prior to the Yoga Day practice was done, various Asans have been learnt by the

students and staff of the college along with the Principal Sir Dr.S.L.Nirala. under the guidance of Dr. B.K.Soni.

On 21st June in the college campus Yoga Day has been executed and several importance of being regular and

parcticing Yoga have been explaind by Dr. Soni. Programme has been commenced with the lighting of lamp and

2. MOTIVATIONAL PROGRAM

26.06.2018 - Motivational Program by the Magician Suhani Shah, who has achieved an understanding of

the human mind. She is a magician, orator, psychosomatic counsellor and powerfull hypnitherapist. Her

programme has been organized for the students at Girl’s Common Room. 100 participants enjoyed the

session. This programme is not only for the entertainment of the students and staff but also to motivate the

students that they can make their future in any field. She talked about positive thinking, how to face

difficulties and how to be successful in life. The audience was spell bound by her programme.

07.07.2018 - On the occasion of Birth Anniversary of Rani Laxmi Bai, A Veerangana Rally was organized

by the Department of Woman and Child Development from Nutan Chowk to Bahetrai Stadium. The

President of the State Women Commision along with 50 Volunteers of NSS and 50 Cadets of NCC

participated in the Rally.The NSS Officer Dr MM Bajpai organized the programme under the guidance of

Principal Dr S.L Nirala Sir.

GENDER EQUITY PROGRAM “GEDIMOHOTSAV”08.08.2018

08.08.2018 - In the series of Gender Equity Program, a Gedimohotsav was organized by

Chhattisgarh State Commission For Women in the presence of Dr Harshita Pandey. It was conducted at

the New Horizon Dental College Campus, Sakri Bilaspur. The students from Bilaspur District along with

our girls Preeti Uraon and other NSS Volunteers participated.

Inter College Level Maha Rangoli Competition SVEEP has been organized at the College Campus. 14 students

participated. Preeti Uraon, Govt. Bilasa Girls College got first prize by the District Electoral Officer.


A “MahaRangoli Cometition” has been organized by the District Election Commission of Bilaspur to promot

the number of voters. Our college has got the priveledge to secure First Position in the District. 14

participants from the various colleges of the District have participated in the competition.

Youth Parliament is a support organization for Education and Development for rural and urban young people

in India. Youths from 18 to 25 age who cannot go to Parliament, can express their views.

With the reference letter No. 15-2/NSS/RD/MP, 2018-19/2505-2578, Dated – 02/01/2019 from the Human

and Resource Ministry of India and Regional Director NSS, Bhopal. A meeting was held on 08/01/2019 in the

college. Youths 18 to 25 age from the Rural and Urban area have registered themselves in the portal and

uploaded 90 to 120 seconds video in the You-Tube, expressing their views on certain topics viz. Terrorism,

Climate change and Aarthik Apradh. On 28th January, 2018 Youth Parliament Session has been organized. Juri

Members were Shri Ramadhar Kashyap, Dr. S.L.Ratre, Dr. Saroj Kashyap, Shri Rudra Awasthi, Mrs. Kavita

Pujara. 19 Parliament members have expressed their views on Terrorism in India. 09 Parliament members

have expressed their views on Arthik Apradh in India. 12 Parliament members have expressed their views on

Climate Change in India & 20 Parliament members have expressed their views on Khelo India. As per the

decision of Jury Members Ms. Minakshi Thakur-Ist, Ms. Aishwarya Yadav-IInd and Ms. Jyoti Sahu-IIIrd Position.

NSS Volunteer Chetana Dewangan donated blood at the Apollo Hospitals Bilaspur.

The importance of Blood Donation is offered briefly to the Students. Our NSS Volunteer Chetana Dewangan

Under the banner of SVEEP Programme, the College has organized programs for generating awareness

among Voters like how to fill forms for adding names, Oath taking forms, making Rangolis related to Voter

Awareness in which 14 Colleges of the district participated. Scooty Rallies, Debate Competition, Nukkad

Natak, Human Chain, all these programmes were held under the guidance of Dr MM Bajpai, Nodal Officer.

On January 25, 2019, Dr MM Bajpai was awarded the best Nodal Officer by the Collector and was given a

cash prize of Rs. 7000/- along with a certificate. Girls from our College like Ku Swati Gupta, Ku Kritika and

Ku Parul Chandra and others also received certificate for their eminent performance.

Diwas at Old High Court Building Bilaspur. On the occasion commanding officer shares the experiences of

The Road Safety Week and Traffic Rules training program was started from 04.02.2019 to 10.02.2019.

The students of the college were told about the traffic rules and then 30 students were given traffic training

in the police ground at 8:00am to 10:00 am. The road safety week started by a huge helmet rally in which

40 girls participated. Many police officials, people from health department, education, social organizations,

and respectable senior citizens of the city witness the rally.

During this week many competitions were also held like debate, quiz, essay writing, etc. NCC cadets of the

college were outstanding.
