Inspired to save the lives of Coachella Valley cancer patients, BIGHORN Behind a Miracle (BAM) reached an astounding $1 million in fundraising in three short years through a passionate, collaborative effort, gathering raffle and silent auction prizes and registering players for a tournament at BIGHORN.

Founded by Members to support Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center and Eisenhower BIGHORN Radiation Oncology Center, BAM simultaneously celebrated its third year and consideration as the largest, single, private fundraiser benefiting Eisenhower Medical Center. “Their heartfelt, generous donations have helped Coachella Valley patients fight breast cancer through providing much needed mammogram machines and equipment,” says Betty Wolf, Vice President, Eisenhower Medical Center Foundation. “Continued counseling and transportation services for those who receive daily radiation treatments and have to take public vehicles support over 1,500 patients a year.”

“BIGHORN Behind a Miracle’s donation to Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center is astounding! We appreciate that BAM tournament organizers decided to donate the proceeds locally to help our community,” says breast imaging specialist Deborah Rubin, MD, Board Certified Radiologist at Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center. “My colleagues at Eisenhower and I are so grateful for these funds, which allow us to have the best medical equipment in order to offer the finest, most state-of-the-art care to all of our patients.”

“The BIGHORN Behind A Miracle golf tournament has proven to be exactly that... a true miracle,” shares Tournament Founder, Selby Dunham. “I am so proud to keep this money in the desert with Eisenhower’s first class facility and staff. The generosity of the BIGHORN members, their guests and friends is truly extraordinary....without the enthusiasm and energy of so many volunteers and committee members, none of this would have been possible.”

BIGHORN BAM kicked off with a Pre-Launch Party with the Shops on El Paseo in January and followed it with a Launch Party in March, filled with valuable and eclectic silent auction items and party sponsored by Sullivan’s Steakhouse. A Cash for Caddies Pairings Party and the BAM Golf Tournament finalized their fund raising goal.
