A Big Family: Advantage or Disadvantage?A large family has some many advantages. First, it has a lot of members; they can help each other in bad times. The children can enjoy the company of all the members. They are never alone. A large family has a joyful atmosphere. They can also share the solutions to one members problems. They will learn how to be responsible by sharing household tasks. Children from small families are often more spoilt than children from a bigger family, especially if you have one child. They might find it harder to make friends, share and socialize. Some may say that the bigger the family the better, but nowadays most families have only two to three children because of the economy and the high cost of everyday needs. There are several disadvantages of having a large family. First of all, there is hardly any privacy. In a large family, you may have to share bedrooms with your sisters or brothers. It is hard to have any time alone because there are so many people living in one house. In addition, a large family often has more expenses than a small family. A large family has to budget their money so that everyone can have enough food and clothes to live. Sometimes, children or parents cannot buy what they want because they have to save money for others in the family. Big families get the disadvantage of less attention and some siblings don't always get along. Finally, in a large family there is more responsibility on the parents to take care of all their children. It takes a lot of work by parents to make sure that all their children grow up to be good people; because of having a big family, parents often have less time or communication with their children because of work to sustain their daily needs.

"Family, like branches in a tree,we all grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one."
