Our Tipis

Big Hat

The largest in our tipi range, the Big Hat, can beinterlinked together to create a space for over 500guests.Stood alone, it’s a great space for smaller, casualparties for around 50 people, but linked toanother Big Hat, Midi Tipi or Baby Tipi they aretransformed into a unique space perfect forweddings, festivals, private parties and corporateevents of any number of guests.

Sides can be lifted to create a ‘Witch’s hat brim’,or lowered during the winter to create a cosyintimate feel. Entrance Porches and Weather-Proofing Kits can be added so that your guests canhave easy access into the space regardless of theweather outside.

Midi TipiOur Midi Tipis are the ideal addition to yourconfiguration if you’re looking for a separate barand chillout area. It also gives you the extra elbowroom for your guests to stand should it be rainingoutside.

A Midi Tipi can have an Entrance Porch insertedinto the front, or the back panel rolled up forentry. Alternatively it can be linked to a Big Hat orBaby tipi – the possibilities are endless!

Baby TipiUnique to Big Chief Tipis is the Baby in our range.Measuring 6.5m in diameter, our Baby Tipi is apopular choice for children’s parties, summersoirées and Christmas dinners in the back garden.

However, it can also be linked to a largerformation of Big Hats via a tunnel, so it is a greataddition as a chillout space or intimate bar area,away from the main event.

Little Hat

The Little Hat is the newest addition to our range oftipis and measures 7.5m in diameter. With all of itssides raised, it is the ideal shelter for an outdoor bar,meeting point or chillout space away from the maintipi configuration.Should you wish to create a more enclosed space, wecan add on vertical sides to the Little Hat giving youplenty of space and headroom inside.

FirepitsWhy not add a firepit to your tipi to create a cosy atmosphere once the sun sets?

Our Open Firepits are the perfect addition, where you can warm your hands and toast some marshmallows. If there isn’t space inside, due to numbers and seating, then you could always have one of our Fire Bowls outside so that people can sit round and stargaze into the night sky.

Panoramic WindowOur Panoramic Windows are a fantastic addition toyour tipi set up:

• They allow for extra headroom for a stage sothat it is not eating into valuable space insidethe tipi.

• Alternatively, they allow extra headroom for thebar to be positioned.

• They allow for extra seating so that you canaccommodate larger numbers of guests withinthe space.

• The clearview nature of them let in lots of extralight into the tipi.

Hard-standing options

If you are wanting your tipis to be built on a hard-standing surface, such as a car-park,

graveled area, exhibition hall or courtyard, then fear not – Big Chief can help! For events on hard-standing surfaces we recommend two things:

A) Anchorage Kit £480 Big Hat; £420 Midi Tipi; £360 Baby Tipi

When we build a tipi on a permanent surface, it isn’t possible to drive the

giant metal stakes into the ground to secure the tipis. As a result, we use a bespoke Anchorage solution which uses Ballast weights and a timber ring

beam.

B) Wooden Flooring £800 Big Hat; £700 Midi Tipi; £600 Baby Tipi

For builds on hard-standing surfaces, venues when the drainage is poor,

or for long-term installations, a wooden flooring is a must. We use a rustic wooden flooring for these installations, which works in perfect harmony

with the aesthetics of the tipi.

Catering tentsFor events with larger numbers and hence more to cater for, your caterers require a bigger space to work from. Here’s where our modular catering tent comes in handy and measures a whooping 6m x 6m.

Unless you are having food vans at your event, you will require a space for your caterers to work from. We have Catering tents in two sizes, which are exactly the same colour as the tipis, making them blend into the formation seamlessly. They are linked to the formation via an Entrance Porch to ensure access is rainproof.
