March Newsletter – Division 17

March is here, and hopefully spring will be just around the corner!

Due to Spring Break, March is a very short month at school. We will be working very hard to get as much learning in as we can in!

This month we will begin a unit on Fairy Tales, work hard on our story writing skills, and complete our Addition/Subtraction unit. We are also focusing on re-enforcing good writing habits such as neat printing, and the use of capital letters and periods.

Here is some important information for the month of March:

Agendas: Please remember to check your child’s planner each night and

initial it. Students write important information in their planners each day, and I also add notes of things that are going on in our class on a regular basis. I check the agendas and sign them each morning, so the agendas are a great way for parents to communicate!

Student Conferences: Student Conferences are Thursday March 7th and Friday March 8th. If you have not already done so please log-in and sign up for a conference time on the parent portal.

Don’t forget that Thursday March 7th will also be an early dismissal day and Friday March 8th there is no school for students.

Spring Break: The last day of school before spring break is March 15th. The first day back to school is April 1st. Wishing everyone’s family a nice break together!
