SPECIFICATIONS

BID957-AIDTMONTGOMERYCENTERandMRWTCJANITORIALSERVICESCOPEOFSERVICE

1. TheappearanceandcleanlinessoftheAIDTfacilitiesareoftheutmost importancetoAIDTmanagement.Performanceofthecustodial/janitorialserviceswillbemonitoredandevaluatedaccordingly.

2. THECONTRACTORSHOULDNOTTURNOFFANYEQUIPMENTLEFTONBYAIDT

EMPLOYEES.

3. Providecustodial/janitorialservicesforfacilitieslocatedatOneTechnologyCourt,FifteenTechnologyCourt,and3180EastSouthBoulevard,Montgomery,AL36116,five(5)daysaweekonMondaythroughFriday.ThecontractorwillnotworkonSaturdays,Sundays,orstateholidayswithoutwrittenpermissionbyAIDT.Semi-annualcarpetcleaningwilltakeplaceonSaturdaysonly.

4. Thecontractedserviceincludesthebidderprovidingallequipmentandsupplies

necessaryforthecleaning/janitorialservicesexcepttheoneslistedinthebid.

5. Contractorshallfurnishanyandalllabor,materials,andsupervisionneededtoperformtheworkasoutlinedinthisbid,tomaintainthefacilitiesinacleanandsanitaryconditionandinaccordancewiththebidspecifications.

6. AIDTwillnotprovideequipmentand/orsuppliesnecessarytoperformtheservices

(vacuumcleaners,dustcloths,furniturepolish,etc.).

7. Allsupplieslistedareattheexpenseofthecontractorandshallbecommercialstrengthandmeetallsafetyrequirements.

8. AIDTwillnotreimbursethecontractorforthecostofthejanitorialsupplies.

9. AIDTwillprovide;toiletpaper,handtowels,handsoap,airfreshenersandtrashcan

liners.NoothersupplieswillbefurnishedbyAIDT.

10. ThecontractorisrequiredtokeepalldispensersfilledwithappropriatesuppliesprovidedbyAIDT.

11. Thecontractorisresponsibleforpayrollofemployeesintheserviceofthiscontract.

Intheeventthefederalgovernmentincreasestheminimumwageduringthecontractperiod,thevendorshallincreasethewagestomatchthenewrateassoonaspossibleaftertheeffectivedate.

12. Thecontractorisresponsibleforallpayrolltaxesforemployeesinserviceofthiscontractplusallrelatedpayrolltaxesandexpenses.

13. TheContractorwillassumeallliabilityforanyinjuriessufferedbyanypersonin

connectionwiththeContractor’sequipmentorvehicles.

14. TheContractorwillassumeallliabilityforemployeeswhileworkingonAIDTsite.AllemployeeswillberequiredtowearidentificationbadgestoidentifythemselveswhileonAIDTproperty.

15. TheContractorshalladequatelysecurethekeysandcodetheyareprovidedbyAIDT

foraccesstothebuildings.TheContractormustimmediatelyreportinwritinganysuchitem,whichbecomeslost,missingorstolen,toMs.LindaSherrillatlsherrill@aidt.edu.ShouldtheContractorloseorhavestolenanykeysissuedtothembyAIDT,thecostofchanginglocksorkeystothebuilding(s)orareasaccessiblebythelostorstolenkeyswillbedeductedfromtheContractor’sinvoicetoAIDTfortheworkperformedunderthecontract.

16. TheContractorwillberesponsibleforsupervisionoftheirpersonnelwhileonAIDT

premises.

17. TheContractorwillprovideAIDTrepresentativewithabusinesstelephonenumberandpersonalcontacttohandleadditionalrequestsandservices.

18. TheContractorwillinvoiceAIDTmonthlyinarrearsforcustodial/janitorialservices.

AIDTwillmakepaymentnet30daysfollowingtheperiodofservices.Submitallinvoiceseitherbymailto:AIDT,Attention:FinanceAccountsPayable,OneTechnologyCourt,Montgomery,AL36116oremailto:[email protected].

19. TheContractormustprovideAIDTwithasignedanddatedmonthlysummaryreport

onthe1stMondayofeachmonththatincludesafulllistingofservicesperformedweekly,monthly,quarterly,andsemi-annually.Thislistmustincludethetypeofservicesperformedanddateofservices.DocumentationmustbeeithermailedtoAIDT,Attention:LindaSherrill,OneTechnologyCourt,Montgomery,[email protected].

20. MonthlymeetingsmaybeconductedbetweenAIDTcontactandcompanycontactto

discussongoingservicerequirementsoranyrelatedissues.MeetingsmaybeconductedonsiteatAIDTfacilitiesorviaconferencecallifrequired.

21. Thebidquotemustincludethefollowing:

ACCESSHOURS/WORKSCHEDULE

1. Schedule:MondaythroughFridayServices: MondaythroughThursdayservicestobeperformedbetweenthehoursof 4:30pmand8:30pm Fridayservicestobeperformedafter1:30pm Saturdayservices-CarpetCleaningonly

2. Consultwiththecontractrepresentative,Ms.LindaSherrillat(334)280-4404oremaillsherrill@aidt.edutoestablishascheduleforquarterlyandsemi-annuallyservices.

3. Successfulbidderwillbeprovidedalistofholidaysthatwillbeobserved.

4. CleaningserviceswillnotbeperformedonAIDTnorthesuccessfulbidderobserved

holidays.

5. Specificservicesandserviceschedulefollowonseparatepages.LindaSherrillwillcoordinateallcleaningprocedures.AnyspecialcircumstancesrequiringadditionalaccesstoAIDTfacilitiesmustbecoordinatedwithLindaSherrill.

6. AIDTreservestheright,withoutapenaltytomakemodificationstotheservice

schedule.Ifmodificationsaremade,AIDTwillprovidethevendorwitharevisedschedule.

7. Incaseamodificationisnecessary,AIDTandthevendorwillrecalculatethemonthly

costbasedonservicesrequestedandbidpricing.

8. Servicesrequestedwillbelistedasdaily,weekly,monthly,quarterlyandsemi-annuallyasneededbilledinarrears.

9. AIDTwillworkwithvendortoestablishaschedulethatiscompatiblewithvendorand

theworkscheduleforAIDTemployees.Thesuggestedscheduleissubjecttochangetoachievethemostefficientworkschedule.
