The Bones of JosephExodus 13:19 Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had made the sons of Israel solemnly swear, saying, "God will surely take care of you, and you shall carry my bones from here with you.”

The Meal of MessiahAccording to tradition, the people of Israel escaped through the Red Sea on the seventh day of Passover. Like the first day, the seventh day of Passover is a high Sabbath (Yom Tov). The first day of the festival commemorates the anniversary of the last plague, the Passover deliverance, and the exodus from Egypt. The seventh day commemorates the anniversary of the final victory over Pharaoh and his armies at the Red Sea. The Torah reading for the last day of Passover includes Exodus 14-15.

Exodus 14:13 But Moses said to the people, "Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever."

The Second RockNumbers 20:11-13 11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. 12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. 13 This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and he was sanctified in them.
