Bi-Annual Report, April 2019-September 2019 Dear Parents, It gives me immense pleasure to communicate and extend my warm greetings to you through this bi-annual report. Let me update you with the last six months happenings in the school. Education is not merely imparting knowledge, assimilating information from printed materials.In fact education should address the overall requirements necessary to groom a child and make him to face the challenges of life. The student should be able to accept victories and failures in life. The students must also become responsible, dedicated to their duties and socially committed. When we look ahead optimistically as a person associated with education, it would be worthwhile recalling how far we have been successful in our endeavor. Having completed six months in this academic year, our prime focus is to impart quality education. Parent satisfaction is our upper most priority. When we impart holistic education we need to create platform for students to excel in various areas. CBSE BOARD RESULTS( 2019-20) Highlights of Class XII Result: Chahak Agrawal 94.6% Niveditha 92.6% 02 students secured 90 percentage and above in Class XII. They also cleared NEET 2019. Dear Parents,

It gives me immense pleasure to communicate and extend my warm greetings to you through this bi-annual

report. Let me update you with the last six months happenings in the school.

Education is not merely imparting knowledge, assimilating information from printed materials.In fact education

CBSE BOARD RESULTS( 2019-20)

Highlights of Class XII Result:

Chahak Agrawal 94.6% Niveditha 92.6% 02 students secured 90 percentage and above in Class XII. They also cleared NEET 2019.

Staff Training

Series of Staff enrichment programs were conducted as part of professional development. On 2nd April

2019 all the teachers attended a workshop on „Transactional Analysis‟ organized by Oxford University

Press. Ms Monika Kackar, was the resource person.

CBSE workshop on Life Skill was conducted for all the teachers on 3rd

June. The resource person was

Mr. Jimesh Paul from Bijapur.

The Principal, Ms. Rinku Banerjee conducted a session on POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at

work place) for the Teachers. She explained the importance of the same with examples and stories of the

famous personalities and different cases covered under this Act.

Ms.Rinku Banerjee, the Principal and Mr.Bal Govind Sharma(PGT) attended two days CBSE's PRP

Program on Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices for Secondary Classes at Delhi Public

School, Bangalore, Karnataka on 28th and 29th June, 2019.

Mr.Arun & Mrs.Hemawati attended the workshop on Strengthening Assessment & Evaluation Practices

conducted by CBSE on 20th & 21st September 2019, at Ken Bridge School, Gulbarga.

In order to select potential leaders of the future, the students Prefectorial Board was constituted. The Principal

distributed the badges and administered the oath. She encouraged them to shoulder their responsibilities with

loyalty, truth and honour and uphold the sanctity of the post assigned.

Visits & Audits

DNV Audit:

The periodic audit ISO:9001-2015 by DNV, Hyderabad was conducted on 12 April 2019 by Mr.Vijay Kumar Yadav, the

lead auditor. He recommended for the continuation of the certificate and expressed his happiness over the way the school

is progressing.

Mr.RameshMitragotri CHRO, visited the school along with the school Chairman and Secretary.

Initiatives and Innovations in School

Felicitating students: Scholars and Stalwarts were awarded with badges based on the annual results of 2018-19

in the assembly. Students who showed commendable progress awarded with certificates.

Inter House Wall Magazine: Display on different topics through wall magazine every month is a new

initiative taken to give the students wide exposure on different areas.

My Library / My Reflection: To imbibe and inculcate reading habit among the students a new initiative, “ My

Library, My Reflection” has been started. The book review is displayed by the student readers..

Mobile Science Exhibition: District Science Centre, Gulbarga organized mobile Science Exhibition for our

school children in the school ground.

Spectrum 2019:

The Aditya Birla Public School, Adityanagar hosted SPECTRUM, the Inter School Literary,Cultural and Sports

Meet on 23rd

August 2019. 10 schools from adjoining districts participated in the competition. Ms.Rinku

Banerjee, Principal, welcomed the gathering on behalf of The Aditya Birla School Family. Mr. Surya Prakash

Valluri, the Chairman, School Management Committee and Executive President of Rajashree Cement Works

was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the programme. English Debate, Mural painting, One Act Play, Quiz,

Group Dance and Table Tennis were the competitions conducted. Our school bagged the Overall Champions

Trophy.

Orientation program for parents: Parent Teacher Meeting was conducted for the parents of students in class

X. They were updated with the new changes implemented by CBSE along with the choice of Basic and

Standard Mathematics.

Students and Teachers paid tribute to Late Shri. B. K . Birlaji , on

this occasion presented devotional songs.

The school celebrated the World Environment

Day. The theme was “Beat Air Pollution” Baisakhi was celeberated with pomp and show.Students put up various colourful programme highlighting the importance of the day.

International Yoga Day was organized at Staff Club Auditorium. Students, teachers, factory employees and colony residents took active participation.

A short skit was put up by the students highlighting the importance of ‘Bond of Love’.

The ABPS with Rajashree Cement Works Management celebrated the Independence Day with patriotic fervour.

Students put up various colourful cultural programmes. National Flag was unfurled by Mr.Surya Prakash

Vellor,Chairman of school Management Committee in the ABPS. He also took the guard of honour, inspected

the parade and gave the message for the day.

Teachers’ Day Celebration:-

On the occasion of Teachers‟ Day, cleanliness drive took place and

students gifted the teachers saplings which were planted all around the

school. Floral tribute was paid to Dr. SarvapalliRadhakrishnan.The

students presented a colourfulprogramme for the teachers. The teachers

were honoured by the school Management and were given gifts as the

token of appreciation.

Hindi Week Celebration (23rd to 30th September, 2019)

Let me take this oppurtunity to thank all those who have lent us a helping hand in our endeavours to take this

institution to new heights. First and foremost, I express my deep gratitude to the Almighty God who has never

failed us in any of our genuine efforts.

I am thankful to the school management for their support extended to our school.

Let me also acknowledge with gratitude to my teaching and non-teaching staff for their relentless service.

We earnestly renew our pledge and promise to offer each and every student entrusted to our care the very best

in terms of quality education and sublime values and character.
