Teachers’ Onam celebration

Before the re-opening of the school the

teachers along with our beloved Principal

Ma’am and the other staff members cele-

brated the harvest festival of Kerala Onam

in a grand manner. It was celebrated with

the same fervor and enthusiasm as it is

celebrated way back in Kerala.

Floral carpet was the main attraction of the

day which was being made with grated

coconut mixed with different colours

instead of flowers.

A sumptuous Onasadya added festivity to

the occasion. Festivals are meant to be

celebrated with joy as it always brings

people together.

School Onam Celebration

On September 30th, we had Onam

celebration for our students It was a great

fun for all of us. Students

decorated the house boards based on the

same theme “Onam”.

The boards were depicting the story

behind Onam , images of traditional

dance forms, feast etc.

House-wise competitions were held and

it was really a good platform for them to

showcase their creativity and talent.

Floral carpets, vanchippattu, thiruvathira-

kali etc. were conducted as part of house

wise competitions.

Dr. Elizabeth George Mammen

pediatrician by profession was the chief

guest of the day. Our chief guest lighted

the lamp along with director sir and also

delivered the inaugural address. Director

sir congratulated the teachers and the

students for the efforts they put in for

Onam competition. Our principal ma’am

spoke about making the students and

teachers multitaskers and successfully

allowing them to manage the stress

through such endeavors. Inspite of SA-1

exams going on, we could see the face of

our children exuberance and zero stress

and this is one of the mottos of our school.

Teacher’s Assembly

First day of the school after

summer vacation started with

teachers’ assembly.

The Teachers put up an

excellent show based on the

theme-“Do what is right, not

what is easy”.

The assembly started with the

Gayatri mantra followed by

Quran recitation, prayer song,

pledge, news reading and a

value based presentation

based on the theme. The

presentation was comprised of

a song and a play based on the

theme.

The show was enjoyed by the

audience and ended with our

beloved Principal Ma’am’s’

inspiring message.

Our effort was appreciated by

Ma’am . The assembly was an

excellent beginning and it set

the standard for the coming

assemblies.

Hindi Divas celebration

Hindi Divas was celebrated on September 14 in India.

Bhavans’ Al Saad Indian School also celebrated Hindi Divas. As part of

this celebration one week’s special assembly was conducted by Hindi

department under the guidance of Hindi teacher Mrs. Parminder.

The need and importance of such celebrations was made known

through different activities like speech, talk or message of important

people. It served to propagate Hindi language, its cultural heritage

and values.

Teachers’ day celebration.

Teachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of

teachers, and may include celebrations to honour

them for their special contributions.

The date of celebration varies from country to country.

Bhavans Al Saad Indian School celebrated its

Teachers’ Day on 5th September, the birth date of the

second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

who was an academic philosopher also. Special

assembly was conducted and senior students took the

responsibility of teaching in order to show their

appreciation for the teachers. The day ended with the

games arranged by the students’ sports council.

Principal ma’am’s enthusiastic involvement was

adored by both students and teachers.

Teachers’ Training programmes.

Bhavans strictly believe that “Those

who dare to teach must never cease

to learn”, That’s why timely training

programmes are being arranged for

teachers.

Principals of different Indian schools

have planned for a 7 module training

programme for the teachers, which

will definitely benefit them .
