Incorrect Laps- Vehicles that do not follow procedure i.e. run an incorrect number

of laps or run the Laps in the wrong sequence will be classified as DNF.

8.6 AUTOCROSS

The objective of the autocross event is to evaluate the vehicle's manoeuvrability and

handling qualities on a tight course without the hindrance of competing vehicles. The

autocross course will combine the performance features of acceleration, braking, and

cornering into one event.

PROCEDURE: The vehicle will be staged such that the front wheels are 6 m behind the

starting line. The timer starts only after the vehicle crosses the start line. There will be no

particular order of the vehicles to run each heat. The organizer will determine the

allowable windows for each heat and retains the right to adjust for weather or technical

delays.

NOTE: Each team will get one (1) attempt only. Distance between each cone =3.5M

CONES DOWN OR OUT: A penalty of 0.50 seconds will be added to the time for

every cone that is knocked ―down or out (including gate cones).

DNF: Vehicles that spin-out can continue as long as they have not gone off course

will be classified as DNF.

Incorrect Laps- Vehicles that do not follow procedure i.e. run an incorrect number

of laps or run the Laps in the wrong sequence will be classified as DNF.

8.6 WHEEL DISMANTING AND ASSEMBLY

only driver and co-driver is allowed

8.7 TIME TRAIL TEST

It will include 5 laps heat in which karts will starts laps individually by 5 seconds lag

between each kart. Teams are not allowed to work on the kart during the heat. Driver

change is not allowed during the heat. Passing another vehicle may only be done in an

established passing zone. The BFKCT have full rights to increase (or) decrease the

no of laps

8.7 ENDURANCE TEST

RIGHT TO CHANGE PROCEDURE

The following are general guidelines for conducting the endurance event. The organizers

reserve the right to establish procedures specific to the conduct of the event at the racing

circuit.

Endurance Objective: The Endurance Event is designed to evaluate the overall

performance of the vehicle and to test the vehicle’s reliability.

The BFKCT have full rights to increase (or) decrease the no of laps

Refuelling will not be allowed during an endurance heat

PROCEDURE: All the karts eligible for the endurance test will be divided into batches

(number of karts per batch will be decided on the endurance day only).. The event will be

run as a single heat approximately 21 km (10 Laps) long. Teams are not allowed to work

on their vehicles during the heat.. Wheel-to-wheel racing is prohibited. Passing another

vehicle may only be done in an established passing zone.

VEHICLE BREAKDOWN AND STALLS: If a vehicle breaks down it will be removed from

the course and will not be allowed to re-enter the course. If a vehicle stalls, or ingests a

cone, etc., it will be allowed to restart and re-enter the course where it went off, but no

work may be performed on the vehicle. If a Kart stop and cannot be restarted without

external assistance, the track workers will push the kart clear of the track. At the discretion

of event officials, two (2) team members may retrieve the kart under direction of the track

workers.

ENDURANCE MINIMUM SPEED REQUIREMENT: If a kart is unable to maintain lap

times within 135% of the fastest lap time for the course, and then it must exit immediately.

Disqualification for failure to maintain the minimum speed will be made at the discretion

of the Director of Operations.

ENDURANCE LAP TIMING: Each lap of the endurance event will be individually timed

by electronic or by stop watch. The time for an individual heat will be determined by

subtracting the extra-long lap for the driver change from the total time and adding any

penalty points.

8.5 PENALTIES

Failure to obey a flag: 1 minute

Over Driving (After a closed black flag):1 Minute

Vehicle to Vehicle contact: DISQUALIFIED

Out of Order: Running out of order – two (2) minute penalty

Mechanical Problem: No additional penalty other than the time lost to ensure that the

car is safe to continue.

Rash or Aggressive Driving: Any rash or aggressive driving behaviour (such as forcing

another car off the track, refusal to allow passing, or close driving that would cause the

likelihood of car contact) will result in a black flag for that driver. When a driver receives

a black flag signal, he must proceed to the penalty box to listen to a reprimand for his

driving behaviour. The amount of time spent in the penalty box will vary from one (1) to

four (4) minutes depending upon the severity of the offense.

Inexperienced Driver: The BFKCT organizing team may disqualify a driver if the driver

is too slow, too aggressive, or driving in a manner that, in the sole opinion of the event,

officials, demonstrates an inability to properly control their car resulting in a DNF.
