Message from the Director
It is matter of great pride and satisfaction for Bhagwan Arihant College of Engineering and
Technology to bring out the Newsletter “TechTalk” released from Computer engineering
department. Newsletter is like mirror which reflects clear picture of all sorts of activities
undertaken by all the departments. I congratulate editor of the TechTalk, Mr. Yash Naik,
Assistant professor of Computer engineering department who have played wonderful role for
accomplishing the task and his sincere efforts for the same.

Republic day celebration
Sports week
Inter college competition for various Indoor and Outdoor games had been
organized by BMEF between 05th February 2020 to 14th February 2020 for
students as well as faculties of BMEF.

Spandan – Annual Function
Every year cultural fest has been organized centrally for all the colleges of
BMEF and BMEF provides the platform to students to share their talent.
Students take part and spread their talent with great joy by performing fashion
show, solo/group dance, singing, drama etc. BMEF gives awards and encourage
to students as well as faculties for their outstanding achievements. Indeed, Great
joy it was to be witness of the cultural fest!!! This year spandan was celebrated
three days on 26th, 27th and 28th February 2020. Students of BAIT had actively
participated in solo and group dance.
Aayam – A National level tech-fest
Aayam 2020 was 6th successive tech-fest organized by BMEF. The tech-fest
was organized by Bhagwan mahavir college of engineering and technology,
Mahavir swami college of engineering and technology, Bhagwan Arihant
institute of technology, Bhagwan mahavir college of polytechnic and Mahavir
swami college of polytechnic on 5th & 6th of March 2020. Have a look at
memories!!!

Inside the BAIT
Celebration of Kite Festival
Glimpses of Joyous Celebration of Kite Festival at Bhagwan Mahavir
University, Surat held on 10th January,2020. This grand Celebration was joined
by Radio City RJ Veer and Babubhai sentimental upcoming Gujarati movie
cast. Distribution of Kites to orphan kids added beautiful smiles in this
Celebration.

In-house event “AD-MAD” in Spandan 2020
As a part of Spandan – 2020, In-house events had been organized by every
college of BMEF and students of BAIT had participated in it and enjoyed the
events. In-house events had been planned. BAIT had taken initiative and
successfully completed “AD-MAD” on 30 January 2020. Total 30 students had
participated in this competition. Mr. Vishal Bambori from BBA secured 1st
rank in this competition.

Departmental Activities
Seminar on “Python with Data science”
Computer Department organized a Seminar on “Python with Data Science” by
Vikash Gokhale from IIHT, Surat on 24th January 2020. This seminar focuses
on the basics of Python and how Python used. Also learned about how python
work with data science. Python language constructs and object-oriented
approach aim to help programmers write clear, logical code for small and large-
scale projects.
Two day’s Workshop on ‘OOP with JAVA’
Computer Department organized a two days’ workshop on Object Oriented
Programming Language using JAVA on 31st January and 1st February 2020.
The JAVA is a pure OOPS language which means everything in JAVA will
require class to execute or compile. This workshop focus on the basics of how
C, C++ helped JAVA to come into existence, and learned about databases, how
database works and stores the data in it and formed a connection (connectivity)
between Java and Database.

Guest lecture on “Numerical Analysis of Cadmium Telluride solar
cell”
A guest lecture on “Numerical
Analysis of Cadmium Telluride solar
cell” was held on 7th February 2020.
The guest lecture has been organized
by the department of Nanotechnology
to the students well knowledge about
synthesis and characterization, which
is an emerging technology in the field
of Nano Technology.
Industrial visit at Shree Khedut Sahkari Khand Udhyog Mandali Ltd.
The department of Chemical
engineering organized to Industrial
visit at Shree Khedut Sahkari Khand
Udhyog Mandali Ltd, on 15th
February 2020. Total 30 Students
from chemical engineering
department got the opportunity to visit
the industry. Mr.Dipen bhatt had
introduce us to plant starting from
Raw material Storage and handling of
sugar canes around 7000 to10000
TCD(ton cane per day) and also learn
about different operations of chemical
engineering like Crushing, Extraction,
and Evaporation of sugar cane juice
till packing of sugar with small,
medium and large bags.

Guest Lecture on Novel Separation Techniques
The department of Chemical engineering organized Guest Lecture on Novel
Separation Techniques by Dr. Miral Thakkar, Head of the Chemical
Engineering Department, S.N.Patel Institute of Technology and research center,
Umarakh on 17 February 2020. 2nd and 3rd year students of chemical
department attend this lecture.
Three day’s Workshop on ‘EMBEDDED SYSTEMS’
The Department of Robotics & Automation Engineering organized a Three
days’ workshop on Embedded system was held on 24th to 26th February 2020.
This workshop comprises of giving the participating students an idea about
Programming Basic Sensors and their interfacing, interfacing of communication
devices, Digital and analog devices, Introduction to BCI, wireless
communication, Hands on Practice. The Workshop was delivered by Mr. Ravi
Sharma Founder of SR Automation & Robotics.

Seminar on “Aircraft system, design & maintenance”
Department of Aeronautical Engineering had arranged Expert talk on
"AIRCRAFT SYSTEM, DESIGN & MAINTENANCE AND IT'S
PRACTICAL APPROACH", by Former Wing Commander Chandrasekhar
Keshav Chitale on 2nd march 2020. It's really gap filling expert talk between
Aeronautical Industry and Institution.
There were two sessions:
(1) First session was technical discussion on Aircraft System, Design and
Maintenance for more than 3 Hrs.
(2) Second session was Discussion on Opportunities in Aeronautical
Engineering and It's Practical Approach for 1:30 Hrs.
Industrial visit at “Kakrapar Atomic power station”
Department of Aeronautical Engineering visited Atomic power station,
Kakrapar and Kakrapar Dam on 13th march 2020. In KAPP students has
understood operation of plant, safety procedure, turbine operation etc.

position in technical event “Dare to Code” in GTU techfest held in SSASIT
College.
