Community Eligibility In School Breakfast

How Community Eligibility Benefits the Overall Financial Impact and It’s Complement to the Breakfast In the Classroom (BIC) Model:•The Universal Breakfast Program was already in place in district.• CEP allowed us to received the “FREE” rate for all students at CEP Schools•100% free reimbursement rate for breakfast at participating CEP Sites •Even if participation had not increased at inception of the program, the revenues would have netted upwards of $720,000 for the year•Ultimately revenues rose by 1.7 million dollars in the 2015/2016 SY over the 2014/2015 SY•Bottom line is we can continue to “REINVEST” into the programs to provide improvements for the students
