YALE VISITING INTERNATIONAL STUDENT

PROGRAM (Y-VISP)

What is the Y-VISP?

• One year programme in Yale

• Participate fully as an undergraduate student

• Take advantage of the liberal arts

curriculum to achieve breadth and depth

• Participate in extracurricular activities

• Live with Yale students in one of 12

residential college communities

Who is eligible for Y-VISP?

• 2nd year students from FASS, BIZ, SoC, FoE, FoS and USP (will go to Yale

in the 3rd year)

• CAP of 4.0 and above

• Well-rounded, with range of interests, skills,

and talents

• Able to spend one year in Yale and earn

credits or prepared to graduate late

• Check your Faculty/School’s application deadline

• Faculty/School will make nominations

• Successful applications will be interviewed by University-level panel

• Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by Yale

IARU Global Summer Program (GSP)

• Intensive short courses at ANU, ETH, PKU, Berkeley, Cambridge, Oxford,

Todai, Yale and University of Copenhagen

• Address critical issues with a global

perspective

• Work with outstanding peers from

around the globe

APRU Undergraduate Summer Program (USP)

• Integrated programme based on themes which are unique to the host

economy

• Provides opportunities for students to engage in a topic which they are

passionate about

U21 Summer School

• Students from different disciplines come together interact and share

ideas

• Thematic approach that introduces

participants to topics of importance

U21 Undergraduate Research Conference (URC)

• Present research to diverse audience

• Includes seminars and social activities

ASEAN Youth Cultural Forum (AYCF)

• Aimed primarily at enhancing and strengthening mutual understanding,

friendship and cooperation among ASEAN youths

• Provides a platform for students to showcase their cultures and

traditions through music, song and dance

ASEAN+3 Educational Forum and

Young Speakers Contest

• An annual one-week work camp that aims to foster the ASEAN spirit

through academic and non-academic activities.

• Activities include round table discussions, speakers’ contest, educational

tours, and specially-arranged lectures

APRU Doctoral Students Conference (DSC)

• Multi and cross-disciplinary conference for doctoral students to share

and learn with counterparts from different universities

• Students present their research centered on an overarching theme

U21 Graduate Research Conference (GRC)

• Provides opportunities to develop a range of skills relevant to research

process

• Delegates give talks, present posters, and produce short articles which

IARU Global Internship Program
