Message from Mary regarding Refit: REFIT will be meeting all summer on Tuesdays EXCEPT June 14 (due to VBS). There will be a free DVD class on June 21 while Mary is on vacation. Regular classes resume June 28. Take care of your heart and soul by coming to join in on the fun at REFIT. Just put on comfortable workout clothes and good tennis shoes, and give it a try. There is always room for one more!
YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT IS NEEDED. The Outreach Committee would like to send Health Kits to the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM). So many health kits were handed out during the South Carolina flood that UMVIM now has a major shortage of them. Your donations will help Outreach make up these kits and send them to UMVIM. Outreach had an awesome reponse from you when they asked you to donate to purchase birthing kits. Please support them again with your monetary donations for another much needed cause. Any and all donations will be very much appreciated.
SPECIAL OFFERING TODAY FOR IMAGINE NO MALARIA. Join with us to
raise $1,000,000 dollars to fight Malaria. We invite you to give to this very worthwhile cause. An extraordinary ministry of the people of the United Methodist Church, putting our faith into action to end preventable deaths by malaria in Africa. THIS PREVENTABLE AND TREATABLE DISEASE, TRANSMITTED THROUGH THE BITE OF A MOSQUITO, CLAIMS NEARLY 500,000 LIVES A YEAR. IMAGINE NO MALARIA IS AN INITIATIVE OF THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH TO RAISE $75 MILLION TO END PREVENTABLE DEATHS FROM MALARIA IN AFRICA. THE SOUTH CAROLINA ANNUAL CONFERENCE HAS PLEDGED $1 MILLION.
FUN, FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP, Thursday, June 9. Come enjoy the food and the fun.
Parking: If you park in the gravel area of the parking lot, please pull all the way
up to the trees (on the right side) or the painted line (on the left side). This will help keep the aisle clear so that cars may pass easier. Also, if everyone in the parking lot will park up to the white painted lines, this will allow more room for some of our larger vehicles. Thanks!!!
Part-Time Youth Director Needed For Our Youth. We are currently seeking a passionate individual on a part-time basis to lead our youth programs for middle and high school level youth.
