Align Your DreamBox Implementation to Your Learning GoalsWhether your learning goal is to close achievement gaps with intervention students,
offer accelerated learning opportunities, or personalize math learning for every
student in your classroom, DreamBox can be implemented in a variety of ways to
support that instructional goal. Whichever implementation model you choose, ensure
students complete 5 to 8 lessons every week to maximize learning gains. Here are
some suggestions:.
• ROTATION MODEL: Different stations, including DreamBox, placed around the room for the students
to engage a variety of activities focused on math learning. Students work at each station for
20 to 30 minutes.
• SMALL GROUP: Some students work on DreamBox while others are engaged in a larger group
activity. The Standards Proficiency Report in the classroom reports helps with grouping students.
• WHOLE CLASS: Every student works on DreamBox for a set amount of time. Use the Insights
Dashboard to see your students’ progress and lesson completion in real time on the Activity Feed,
and use this time to engage with individual students.
• BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL: Provide access to DreamBox in the library or computer lab for early arrivals
or late pick-ups.
• HOME USAGE: If all students have access to a device at home, consider assigning 20 minutes of
DreamBox three times a week as homework.
• SUMMER: Many districts use DreamBox to help support math learning during the summer months.

are designed with you in mind.

Encourage Family EngagementEncourage families to access their Family Insights Dashboard to engage in their student’s learning.
Through their Dashboard, families automatically receive information that highlights important learning
milestones and educational resources to encourage learning and conversation beyond the classroom.
Send the Family Letter home with your students (found in your Teacher Insights Dashboard).
This letter is available in both English and Spanish.

Families receive information that highlights important learning milestones and educational resources that encourage learning and extend conversations about math beyond the classroom to fully support and encourage deeper understanding and comprehension.
“Both of my children love DreamBox
and ask to play every day. I love how
the program adapts to their needs,
backing up if they get a bunch wrong
and speeding up if they get a bunch
right quickly. I love that they can
work on this by themselves too with
the clear instructions in each game.”

Leverage data for use in your classroom and beyondDreamBox provides standards-aligned reporting that surfaces actionable insights to help monitor
usage and learning trends, inform mathematical instruction, and facilitate meaningful conversations
about learning.
Log into your Insights Dashboard on your phone, tablet, or computer before or during class to review
progress and gauge whether to stay the course or adjust instruction. Here are some suggestions for
utilizing the reports in your Insights Dashboard.
Classroom Activity FeedView what your students are working on, in real time! For each lesson completed, you are provided the
lesson name, the standard(s) the student was working on, and a link to a demonstration lesson.
• Quickly see what specific lessons students are working on, have completed, or may be struggling with.
• Play a lesson to better understand the mathematical strategies students are currently working through.

The colors in the Insights Dashboard allow you to quickly
identify when students are progressing as planned (green)
and when they are below recommended usage (orange).
Classroom Standards Proficiency ReportProvides progression data and groups
students by what standards they have
completed, are currently working through,
or have not yet started.
• Use this report to create learning groups.

Student Overview ReportView student proficiency across all grade levels and gain insights into each student’s self-directed
learning choices and math understanding.
• Showcase individual student progress, improvements, and challenges at parent conferences.
• Set learning goals for students and show them the progress they’re making.
Student Standards Proficiency ReportQuickly view learning progress and proficiency against standards.
• See at-a-glance growth across standards, which can assist in goal setting, IEP goals, or achievement
milestones for individual students.
• Drill down to individual standards, by grade level, to identify learning gaps and strengths.
“The Insights Dashboard is exactly what
we needed! Since our teachers aren’t
able to sit next to their students while
they’re working, it used to be hard for
them to identify what their students
are struggling on. Now our teachers
have insights into what each student
is currently working on and can cater
their 1-on-1 time to meet unique student
learning needs.”
