Goa is a state of south – west region of India. It is bounded by two states, Maharashtra to the north and Karnataka to the east and south, while the Arabian Sea forms in the west coast. The largest and one of the best churches is Se Cathedral . It is 250 feet in length and 181 feet in breadth. It was constructed to venerate the victory of the Portuguese under Afonso de Albuquerque over Muslim army in 1510 to lead the city. It is also known for St. Catherine because Afonso de Albuquerque conquered Goa on St Catherine’s Day (25th November 1510).
