James Woolgar, final year electrical apprentice at Berthon receives the Barry Kimber award from Prime Warden of the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights, Graham Clarke, as runner up to the Queen’s Silver Medal Award. James is the fourth generation Woolgar at Berthon, each generation choosing a different trade; father Iain was promoted to Foreman Engineer and is currently Project Manager; grandfather Ken was a joiner; great grandfather Cecil was a painter. James said “I have no problem working with my father as Project Manager, because we think alike”. Well, done and good luck for the future, James. All 3 were fitted out by us prior to the off, including full Raymarine kit with E120 multi displays, chartplotter, radar and 290 instruments. All is working well.
