World ocean keeps many secrets, the first among them is the mystery of Bermuda triangle, where many ships and airplanes have disappeared in the visible time.
Bermuda's real history started only in 1609 when a group of British colonists landed ashore after their ship got wrecked at a nearby reef.
POSSIBLE CAUSES FOR THE BERMUDA
TRIANGLE
Deep Trench and Whirlpools•The Bermuda Triangle encompasses one of the deepest
underwater trenches in the world.
•This is an important point to consider when examining
possible causes for ship and boat disappearances.
•When ocean currents are strong and the seas are warm,
vortexes can emerge.
•Trenches can trap the water and make the whirlpool more
powerful and larger.
Methane GasTrapped pockets of methane gas that are suddenly released
can rush to the surface like huge bubbles bursting and
capsize a ship. Scientists have conducted tests in laboratory
tanks and demonstrated that this is a strong possible cause
for mysterious disappearances of ships.
PiratesThe Caribbean waters were plagued with pirates from the
earliest history, so it's not unreasonable for a portion of the
unexplained disappearances to be the result of modern day
pirates.
Waterspouts, Tornadoes, Water Cyclones and
HurricanesWarm water can spawn sudden waterspouts, tornadoes etc.
Water sprouts can appear out of nowhere and disappear as
quickly as they were created. Many believe that this kind of
natural weather conditions is responsible for those
disappearances that weren't caused by human error.
PARANORMAL AND SUPERNATURAL CAUSES
Large Fish or Sea MonstersPeople in ancient time believed that a dragon or sea monsters
used to live Under- water.
This used to destroy ships coming there.
Time WarpThere have a few reports of loss of time. In one such case,
Bruce Gernon was flying from Andros Island to Ft. Lauderdale.
He encountered bad weather and flew into what he described
as a tunnel. He claimed to time travel since he arrived in Ft.
Lauderdale nearly 30 minutes early, having used nine gallons
less fuel than normal.
UFOs and USOsChristopher Columbus described seeing strange dancing
lights along the horizon of the area referred to now as the
Bermuda Triangle. He later saw a round glowing object
submerge into the ocean
Ellen Austin, 1881
It was a large American ship that frequently traveled between New York and London.
The crew attempted to sail it alongside the Ellen Austin to London, but the plans changed when two days later they got separated during a storm.
The USS Cyclops, 1918
The USS Cyclops was a massive carrier ship that supplied fuel to the American feet in WWI.
The ship set sail with 309 people on board and was full of heavy cargo.
It was last heard from in Barbados where it stopped to load more cargo before making the final stretch of journey to Baltimore,
Flight 19, 1945
The title given to five TBM Avenger Torpedo Bombers that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle, December 5, 1945 during a training flight.
All 14 men on the flight disappeared without a trace.
C-54, 1947
A C-54 aircraft took off from Bermuda on July 3, 1947 and was met with a large thunderstorm
Witchcraft, 1967
Witchcraft was a 23-foot luxury cabin cruiser, owned by Burrack who also had a popular hotel.
He with his father went to see the beauty of the Christmas lights along the shore of Miami at night. They did not even go a mile offshore.
A 1,200 square mile search was issued but nothing was ever found.
SS El Faro, 2015
On October 1, 2015, the cargo ship SS El Faro became another tragic victim of Bermuda Triangle.
The 790-ft container ship departed Jacksonville (Florida) bound for Peurto Rico with 33 crew members on board, carrying large number of containers, trailers and vehicles.
A tropical storm hundreds of miles away, developed into fierce hurricane, dashed down towards El Faro.
It is well known that marine and airway channels across
Bermuda Triangle are some of the busiest and most
commercially used routes in the world. They are used
extensively by numerous cruise lines and airlines connecting
The USA, Europe, Caribbean islands, Bermuda, South
America and even Africa.
Think of what may happen to billions of dollars of thriving
international business and its impact on economy if the area
gets to be known as dreaded? Will anybody want such
flourishing economy to get jeopardized by officially calling
out the area as dangerous?
There are many conflicting possibilities to keep the
Bermuda Triangle mystery alive for decades to come.
