ABOUT OUR MOUNTAIN BIKE COACHES:

Katie Casey

Katie has a true passion for mountain biking. She has been pedaling and racing mountain bikes for 27 years. She is a licensed Wilderness First Responder and Registered Maine Guide. She is the Gould Academy Head Mountain Bike-Road Cycling Coach and USA Cycling Level 3 Coach. She resides in Bethel.

Kerry Ouellette

Kerry is an avid mountain biker, skier, and hiker. She has been a Perfect Turn Ski Instructor for more than 13 years. In her spare time she explores the region and is very often seen honing her mountain bike skills throughout the spectacular riding terrain. She lives in Carrabassett Valley and enjoys working with children to develop their sport-specific skills.

Nate Mackenzie

Nate is a Head Freestyle Coach at Carrabassett Valley Academy. He has 18 years of coaching experience and has worked with the Academy’s Mountain Bike Team since its inception. He enjoys adventure, extreme sports, and the outdoors. His enthusiasm is contagious!
