Plastic coating provides the perfect protection for the platform surface.
It combines slip resistance with maximum sound insulation. The
platforms are first sandblasted. A bonding agent is then applied and
they are subsequently given a plastic coating in a single work step. This
ensures exceptional bonding to the base material, which withstands
the toughest demands in distribution logistics.

A PASSION FOR MOBILITY
PALFINGER Ratcliff is a wholly owned subsidiary of PALFINGER AG
following its acquisition in 2005.
Expert in designing and manufacturing Mobility and Commercial vehic-
le lifts for over 50 years in the UK, we have a history and commitment to
innovation and leadership.
In 1948, Ted Ratcliff invented the wooden tail lift, which would lead the
company to develop other models with alternative materials and lifting
capacities. Since its first introduction, “Ratcliff” has become the gene-
ric name for tail lifts in the UK.
The Ratcliff family continued to invest heavily in the research and de-
velopment of new lifting solutions, launching its first Passenger lift in
1966.
Playing a strong role in the local community with national impact, the
company was honoured to receive Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, on their exhibition stand at the Mobi-
lity Roadshow, where a Passenger lift demonstrated the positive social
change it could provide.
