CURRENT AND RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

AutoTool Inc, Plain City OH Mechanical Designer Engineer (April 2014 – August 2014) (March 2015-July 2015)

– Automotive robotic tooling and custom processes design, assembly line station and robotic hand design, using Solidworks, AutoCAD,

Draftsight, and Catia Software. Working on custom manufacturing design for companies such as Honda Automotive.

Brackin Porter Family Medicine, Columbus OH COPC Family Physician Receptionist

(Nov 2008 – Jan 2010, Sept 2010-June 2012, Dec 2012, Dec 2013-April 2014, Dec 2015-present)

ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE

Sky Climber LLC, Delaware, Ohio Quality and Engineering Intern (January-July 2013)

– Engineering Change Reports: made necessary design and assembly changes to parts to address functional issues.

– Created design concepts, checked parts for failure strength and measurements, updated CAD drawings, added parts into PDM system.

Micro Industries, Westerville, Ohio Mechanical Engineering Intern (June-August2012)

– Created Solidworks CAD of new and existing computer parts, designed touchscreen computer displays, new product designing.

Solar Turbines, San Diego, California Gas Compressor Testing Engineer Assistant (January-March 2012)

– Gas Compressor testing facility operator of a single stage compressor closed loop system. Building and configuring of temperature and

pressure test probes, analysis of data for various pressures and speeds. Analysis of effect of impeller cropping to reduce flow head on

efficiency of the compressor.

– Design project back engineering old impeller designs and creating impellers from old drawings into CAD files.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Endodontic Files – Capstone Senior Design

– Designed and tested new endodontic rotary files for root canal procedures for Coltene/Whaledent Inc. Created 5 file designs in

Solidworks and did FEA to predict performance at cutting, debridement and resistance to unwinding. Manufactured prototypes.

Electrical Circuit Sensor The Ohio State University (Spring 2013)

– Created sensor with microphone and high pass filter to measure sound pressure of musical instruments to gauge hearing damage inflicted

Air Compression Motor The Ohio State University (Autumn 2011)

– Machined and engineered a two cylinder air engine that could power a light and provide rotational mechanical energy.

Roller Coaster Design Competition The Ohio State University (Winter 2010)

– Designed a roller coaster on paper using physical properties, built model to compare actual to theoretical velocity calculations at various

points on the roller coaster, determined features with the most discrepancy and possible improvements; won first place in class

competition, competed in University wide competition.

Fundamentals of Engineering Bridge Design Competition The Ohio State University (Autumn, 2009)

– Built a bridge made to withstand force in comparison of the weight of the bridge

– Designed Model on graph paper, researched advantages and disadvantages of special features. Weight of successful load compared to

bridge materials exceeded all other group ratios; won first place in competition.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

– Solid understanding of Labview, Solidworks, Solidworks Composer, Solidworks Simulation, PDM, Fourth Shift, Auto Desk, Auto CAD

Inventor, AxCent, CCAD, MATLAB, C++; Extensive use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Works; Machining experience

including CMM, Milling, and Lathe work. Adequate foundation with CATIA and Draftsight AutoCAD software.
