Observation = data gathered using one’s senses or tools that enhance the senses.

Quantitative: involving numbers

Qualitative: involving features or characteristics (like size, shape, color, texture, what it’s made of, condition, etc.)

Scientists ask a lot of questions.

Levels of Questioning:

1. Level one: basic facts

2. Level two: more complex, research needed

3. Level three: questions that challenge findings and demand evidence, questions that address larger themes like ethics
