Students from Jefferson County Public Schoolsin Kentucky Participate in house build for Sonia

They were partnered with four students from ourScholarship Assistant Program, who were tasked to be theirbuddies for that one morning. They also had the opportunityto interact through a day trip at Altun Ha and also through aday of work at the build site, where a home for Sonia and herfamily, was in the making. We would like to thank AnglicanCathedral College, E P Yorke, Pallotti High School and St.Catherine’s Academy for working with us and making thisexchange experience possible. During this trip relations werebuilt among students, lessons were learned and expectationswere more than what was anticipated.

In April a group from Kentucky, led by our CEO, MarlaCautilli, and David Calzie came to Belize on an Immersion trip, accompanied by four young and vibrant High School studentsfrom Jefferson County Public Schools, along with theirchaperones and other participants, whom were chosen to bea part of this great experience.
