October 24, 2016 was another exciting day in Council District 4 as we celebrated the grand opening for

Trolley Park Terrace. It is a development that provides 52 units of affordable apartments

for low-income families with access to the Euclid Avenue Station, San Diego’s second largest

public transit station. Thanks to the efforts of the City of San Diego, San Diego Housing

Commission, Chelsea Investment Corporation, Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, and

community members, this project has come to fruition.

Now, families are able to rent homes that are 18-26% below market rate and gain access to on-

site computer literacy, financial literacy, and English as a Second Language classes.

During my tour of the complex, I saw quality homes with resources and services that tenants need to

improve their quality of life.

I was blown away by this project and I know it will have a lasting impact for current and future tenants

for generations to come.
