The poolSport and Recreation Centre

Milan Gale Mukatirovid

We planned to hold the event on the same pool we had on the

last WC in Belgrae. Sport an Recreation Centre Milan Gale

Mukatirovid is located in the Belgrade city centre, and has

been fully reconstructed back in 2011 and conditions for pool

disciplines are almost perfect. At the time of the WC pool

temperature will be aroun 26 C, but since the pool is heated

water temperature is controllable.

Outdoor pool, where competition will be held, has constant

depth of two meters and it is Olympic size pool in accordance

with FINA and LEN standards.

As it can be seen on the picture, pool length is 50 meters, width

is 25 meters and it has 8 lanes. DYN would be held on 50 meter

lane, but DNF would be held across the pool width on 25 meter

lane, like it was in 2013. In case of a bad weather and cold

temperature we are able use indoor pool for STA event.

Safety team, camera crew, IT administration

We will have a professional, paid safety team, which would

consist of experienced divers and freedivers, as well asmembers of the emergency units, mountain rescue etc. All will

be paid staff members, and all have plenty of experience in

extreme and stressful situations, as well as being safety divers in

freediving competitions.

As well as the safety team, we will have a professional camera

crew, with lots of experience working on television and othermedia.

We will also have a paid IT staff: professionals with plenty of

experience from past competitions. As with the safety divers,

none of them will be volunteers.

Accommodation

This time we want to provide athletes and their accompaniers

with one the best places to stay in Belgrade, Hotel M which is apart of the Best Western group, renowned hotel chain. Best

Western Hotel M is the first hotel in Belgrade with the Congress

hotel licence, ideal for athletes. It is located in one of the most

beautiful parts of Belgrae, surroune by green park Banjika

forest. It is just 20 minute drive away from the international

airport Nikola Tesla and 10 minute drive from Belgrade city

centre.

Athletes will be staying in double rooms, and they will be able to

choose if they want to have breakfast only or full board. Singlerooms are available but extra charges will be added. Every room

has air conditioners and free high speed internet. Wireless

internet is accessible in conference rooms and hotel lobby.

Parking lot can hold up to 150 vehicles. There is also ATM and

currency exchange machine in the lobby (24 hours a day).

Hotel is equipped with plenty of conference rooms wich would

be accessible for organizational needs.

Since we are very familiar with the fact that the diet in

freediving is very important, the chef at the hotel is main chef of

the Serbia national football team and he has a lot of experience

in preparing food for athletes. All meals will be tailored to the

needs of the participants and will be made from the finest

ingredients.

Belgrade can be reached through the air, on roads or rivers.

By Airplane Air Serbia, the national air transport

company, along with numerous international air carriers

maintain regular lines from the Belgrae Nikola Tesla

airport to the whole world. The "Nikola Tesla" airport inSurin is locate 21 km from the hotel in the centre of the

Belgrade, 20 minute drive.

By Bus - Regular bus lines connect Belgrade with all

parts of Serbia. International Bus lines operate to most

European countries.

By Car - Belgrade is located at the intersection of the

European E-70 and E-75 highways. Foreign drivers in

Serbia are require to have a national rivers license,

traffic permit and an insurance policy.

By Train - A well-developed network of railways connects

Belgrade with all parts of Europe, by daily, as well as

overnight trains.

By Boat - Belgrade is the city of two rivers, the Danube

and the Sava. The number of tourists arriving to Belgrade

by boat is increasing by the day, along with the number of

European companies organizing Danube cruises to

Belgrade. Belgrade is located at the 1170 kilometre mark

of the Danube flow, and the 0th kilometre of the Sava

flow. The navigational period on Danube is from March 1

to December 25.
