Indonesia and Malaysia have developed their own standards for certified sustainable palm oil. The Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) and Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) are important steps towards more sustainable production. European National Initiatives Various companies and industry associations work together in National Initiatives to increase the uptake of sustainable palm oil in their respective countries. RSPO Since 2004, the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil has been transforming the palm oil industry in collaboration with the global supply chain. It has pledged to help support and build a 100% Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO) EU market by 2020.
