Being continually filled with the Spirit

Eph 5:15-6:9

15 Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, 16making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17

Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be

filled with the Spirit. 19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and

spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of

our Lord Jesus Christ.

21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband

is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, ofwhich he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also

wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and

gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by thewashing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself

as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but

holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love theirwives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29

After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares forit, just as Christ does the church- 30 for we are members of his body.

31 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and beunited to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." 32 This is a

profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33

However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself,and the wife must respect her husband.

Ephesians 6

6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 "Honor

your father and mother"-which is the first commandment with a

promise- 3 "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy longlife on the earth."

4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in

the training and instruction of the Lord.

5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with

sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not onlyto win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ,

doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if

you were serving the Lord, not men, 8 because you know that the Lordwill reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave

or free.

9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threatenthem, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in

heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.

Introduction

1. Getting filled is not a once and for all experience

2. Always living to the brim is a must

3. Water, oil, has a way of evaporating

4. Once quenching the thirst does not means you will neverget thirsty

The wise and the foolish virgins

They were all eager

They were all virginsAll of them fell asleep

Only difference not enough of oil

b. Making the most of ever opportunity

1. Cease the moment dont postpone laziness

2. Moments are becoming hours, hours becoming days, daysbecoming weeks, weeks months and months years

3. The enemy has got hold of every moment

c. Understand the will of God and do it

1. Doing His WILL is the only thing that counts

3. Doing anything else is FOOLISH

d. Dont get drunk with wine

1. An easy way to forget

2. The easy way to get rid of the worry immune yourself

3. The way to feel happy is to get drunk

4. Substitutes for getting drunk - what is going to make me

happy

a. My idol husband, wife, child, family, possessions,

education etc

b. I feel unhappy when they dont make me happy

c. All these things give you temporary happiness

Be continually filled with the spirit

1. Getting filled with the spirit gives you JOY

2. It is the JOY OF THE LORD does not depend upon any

happenings

3. CONTINUALLY non stop

How to be filled continually

a. Spiritual areas which seems very easy

1. Speak to one another withpsalms, hymns and

spiritual songs.

2. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,

3. Alwaysgiving thanks to Godthe Father for

everything,

b. Facing the practical day to day life

1. Submit to one anotherout of reverence for Christ.

2. Family Wives submitting because of the anointing

Husbands loving just like Jesus did

Children obey your parents

Fathers taking care of the children

3. Work Place

Obey your earthly masters

Have respect and fear with sincerity of heart

Server wholeheartedly, as if you were serving theLord

The Lord will reward dont expect the boss

4. The Masters

He is watching you the way you treat

He will reward the way you treat them

Remember that you are Gods slave

Neglect of any areas can grieve the spirit
