225 Breeding Rabbits

X Select, feed, and care for at least one purebred rabbit. Have possession of rabbit(s) by May 1. Complete at least 1 topic of interest: including at least 5 activities; 2 project experiences; and 2 leadership/citizenship activities.

Complete Livestock Project Interview. Bring Project Book, and feed records. Exhibit one or more purebred rabbits at the fair.

226 Market Rabbits

X Raise a litter of market rabbits from a dam you own. Have possession of rabbit dam by May 1. Litters must be “called in” to the Extension office by May 31. Complete at least 1 topic of interest: including at least 5 activities; 2 project experiences and at least 2 leadership/citizenship activities. Complete Quality Assurance and Rabbit Records sections of project book. Attend Quality Assurance or complete ‘Test Out’ option.

Complete Livestock Project Interview. Bring Project Book, feed records and photograph*. Exhibit a pen of three market rabbits at the fair. * Bring 3½x 5 or 4x6" clear, color photo of you and your animal. Label the photo with your name, animal species (Rabbit Meat Pen), & tattoo numbers. No polaroids. Digital photos must be printed on photo paper.

Dogs Note: All 4-H members taking a dog project and a parent are required to sign a liability waiver each year.

Forms are due with enrollment on April 2. All dog projects must have a veterinary certificate on file at the Extension office by June 15.

All dog projects are eligible to show in Costume Class and the Obstacle Course at the Warren County Fair.
