A Warm Welcome to the 12th Forever Bury Beer FestivalI’d like to welcome everyone to this year’s event which will probably be the last one at this venue as the club are nearer to starting to do major developments. Nevertheless, I do hope you all enjoy your time here and the superb array of drinks that I’ve managed to put together for you. As always I’ve found some obscure breweries along with some old favourites. If you’ve visited us before you can see that we do try to constantly improve things and we are always interested in any feedback as we strive to make this one of the best “Small Festivals” around.

Once again we are proudly supporting the Super Josh Charity as it is a fitting way to remember him. As he was a keen Forever Bury member I’m sure “Super Josh” would like anyone who has a soft spot for The Shakers to join Forever Bury and help us make a difference at Bury FC.

I’d like to thank all of our sponsors for their generosity in these rather difficult times, especially Bibby Distribution and Craftprint for coming on board. I do hope that you all have an enjoyable time.

A special mention must go to all the breweries that are so supportive of our Beer Festivals and their generosity knows no bounds, I’m always overwhelmed with the response I get and if anyone from any of the breweries has come along please make sure to introduce yourselves. I’m usually on the Cider Bar but ask any of the staff and they’ll point me out.

Although we need to find a new venue we still hope to be back next year. One offer on the table is in Accrington but we’d much rather stay in the Bury area.

May 2017 CURRYS PC WORLD TO OPEN NEW 3-IN-1 STORE IN BURY

On Wednesday 17th May, the UK’s leading technology and electrical retailer opens its new Bury 3-in-1 store, bringing all three brands – Currys, PC World and Carphone Warehouse – under one roof for customers. As well as bringing the latest smartphones and mobile accessories with a new Carphone Warehouse store inside, the 16,0000 sq ft Superstore will feature the very latest in smart home and fitness tech, drones, 4k TVs , computing and everything you could need for the kitchen. The new store employs 41 colleagues with five of those roles being new positions. The store has been working to raise money for the Lancashire Fusiliers and Royal Regiment of Fusiliers over the past year. To further give back to the community, Currys PC World is a sponsor of the Forever Bury Beer Festival where all proceeds go to Forever Bury, which helps to financially support the local football club and to the local Joshua Wilson Brain Tumour Charity, which helps families that are living with childhood brain tumours and post-operative complications.
